Miriam Stockley also hums a lovely version of it on her CD Eternal. If you love Loreena, maybe you will also love Miriam. She was / is the lead singer of Karl Jenkins's Adiemus group. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEt2XdN_TbQ

And I in AUSTRALIA...HINT HINT, WINK WINK, NUDGE NUDGE, LOREENA!
And I would be quite appreciative if you made a stop by San Diego! I love all your songs, but The Seven Rejoices of Mary is just wonderful! (And I realized that it's not solely a Christmas piece; It has some Easter references as well!)

Hello, Ms. McKennitt: I just wanted to say that even after the first time I saw heard "Seven Rejoices of Mary" and the accompanying video that contains the song, I am very much elated by your wonderful performance of this song. I never thought that you could sing a song in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Boy, I am sure that Blessed Mother Mary would be smiling down upon you for that. Thank you very much. May God bless you and may the Holy Virgin keep you under her protection. Loreenya

do you have the authority to do that? I doubt that the Swedish or Danish authorities would allow something to be named after someone that they've never heard of before, although, I am from the same country as your Crown Princess, Anxious 2! (hey, I guess that means we're sort of related!) maybe if I win a Nobel prize of something, though I have no idea what for!

Lots ot wishes for a happy year

There are some amazing names alright :O This probably sounds like an idiotic question..byt how is your name pronounced, Jesse? (Next time Iook at a map I will keep my eyes open for a place named Jesse )
...I just have to tell you that before I really cared to listened through all of LMKs songs properly (must have been ages ago) I though that Bonny Bortmore was the name of a girl Oh, and I though that Annachie was a girl's name too!

well, Limerick isn't, but a 'limerick' is a type of poem. Antrim is mentioned in Bonny Portmore and Kilkenny is in Carrickfergus
thanks for the additional geographic information, Malin! I'll look into that.

Originally posted by Malin: Take a look in the map at the coast in the north of Ireland (I hope I am not telling you wrong. Geography is not my best subject) and you will also find a place called Malin Head.
I FOUND IT!!! it looks to me like it's the northernmost point of Ireland! that's funny. I haven't yet found a place called "Jesse" however, it is amazing what strange names you can find looking at a map. I've found a town called "Chop" in Ukraine and one called "Split" in Croatia (at least, I think it was Croatia).
how does it feel sharing your name with a place in Ireland?
