This highly anticipated holiday collection features an array of influences ranging from Celtic to classical
to Middle Eastern. McKennitt’s eclecticism shines through in the mysticism of “The Holly and the Ivy,”
the exotic Eastern arrangements of “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen,” the Latin-sung “Emmanuel” and
“Noël Nouvelet!” sung in Old French.
McKennitt recorded the new material for

All of this sounds great!
I'm so glad to hear Loreena will sing a song in Latin.

Thanks for giving us this precious Christmas gift, Ms McKennitt.

Oh, moreover: Loreena is also going to perform at the "Concerto di Natale" in Verona. It's kind of a tradition for my whole "extended" family to watch that together on December 24. It will be MUCH more entertaining this year Cool

HAHAHA!!! the new album has 'Snow' on it!!!
Big Grin do you think Loreena likes that song?
why does she not double up with any other songs?

Loreena, if you are reading this, please do another version of one of your older songs on your next album after Midwinter. here are some suggestions...

~Come by the Hills
~Samain Night
~All Souls Night
~The Two Trees
~The Mystic's Dream
~The Mummers Dance
~The Highwayman

or whatever songs you really like! I don't really mind! Wink As much as I love to hear new songs, it's nice to hear new arrangements of old ones as well
anyone agree? Roll Eyes

Luv Jesse

I've listened to the samples of "A Midwinter Night's Dream" in the "Explore the Music" section. I think this album is really a wonderful addition to the last seasonal recording "To Drive the Cold Winter Away". Smiler

And the cover art is so lovely! I love it! Big Grin

The new CD's name is in the list of recordings in Explore the music, beneath An Ancient Muse. If you click on it you find the little cover near An Ancient Muse and beneath The Mask and Mirror. There is no big pic available yet Frowner, but in just a few weeks...there will be there Smiler
