Just got to post this! Went to Borders Bookstore in Columbus Circles this evening around 7.00pm for the launching of Loreena's Night at the Alhambra triple discs set. She was accompanied by her lead guitarist, Brian Hughes i think. She has the most charming personality. She played on her keyboard and sang 3 songs and an encore- Penelope's Song, The Stolen Child, Raglan Road and Bonny Portmore. It was most wonderful to hear nher voice in full force. Of course, she did some signing and as always , most friendly and responsive to all her fans. I ask her why is not not doing Dark Night of the Soul which was my favorite. She said there is no particular reason accept she realized she had under estimate the popularity of the song and while definitely consider future performance, much to my joy and I gave her a hug before living. All in all a most fulfilling evening. Ah, the magic of living in Manhatten.
