Hi Everyone!
I hope this post finds you & yours doing well. It's wonderful to be among other passionate Loreena McKennitt fans

!
My name is Denise and I'm 46 years YOUNG. I'm married to a wonderful guy and we have two kids, (the furry kind

).
I started falling in love with traditional irish/scottish music in the mid to late '80's, and discovered Loreena when I bought "The Visit" CD.
I only needed to hear a few measures of her first song to know that I would absolutely
LOVE her music!
Just recently, I purchased the box set of her first 3 CD's & a bonus disc.
I've been playing the guitar ever since my early teens (acoustic & electric). Unfortunately, I have not taken any of my guitars out over the past three years, but.....happy to say, I am feeling the URGE to resume playing again

!
When I used to take lessons, it was from the Berklee College of Music books -- I'm good at sight-reading, but have difficulty with learning by ear.
In the mid-90's, I started taking classes; "Traditional Irish Music Sessions". My instructor was Tony Cuffe - some of you might have heard of the Scottish group, "Ossian", which Tony joined in 1980. Sad to say, Tony passed away at the age of 47 in December, 2001, from cancer

.
He is missed greatly.
When I hear Loreena's music, I am always transported to a place that is beautiful & magical. Her voice always gives me the chills.
I hope & pray that she will come out this way in 2007. It would be such a gift to see her perform!
Peace & Love to you all,
Denise
