1. I dag er det Jesses fødselsdag. Hurra, hurra, hurra. Så skal han hjem og holde fest. Og hvem, der kommer med som gæst, får dejlig chokola-ade og kage til.
Today it is Jesse's birthday Hurray, hurray, hurray. Then he'll have a party. And those who are invited shall have tasty choko-olate and cookies.
2. Hvor smiler han, hvor er han glad. Hurra, hurra, hurra. Men denne dag er også rar, for hjemme venter mor og far, med deglig chokola-ade og kage til.
See how he smiles, see how happy he is. Hurray, hurray, hurray. But this day is very nice because at home mom and dad is waiting with hot tasty chocolate and cookies.
3. Og når han hjem fra skole går. Hurra, hurra, hurra. Så skal han hjem og holde fest. Og dem, som kommer med som gæst, får dejlig chokola-ade og kage til.
And when he goes home from school, Hurray, hurray, hurray. then he must come home to have a party. And those who are invited will have tasty chocolate and cookies.
4. Til slut vi råber højt i kor. Hurra, hurra, hurra. Gid Jesse længe leve må, og sine ønsker opfyldt få. Med dejlig chocola-ade og kage til.
At last we're shouting in a choir laud Hurray, hurray, hurray. Wishing Jesse may live long and have his wishes come true With tasty chocolate and cookies.
I can't sing it in english! It's so very hard to translate the expressions into another language. And of course all the rhymes and syllables are lost... It makes the song so wierd. Hope you can spell your way through...

Actually I would have sung a danish birtday song for you. But then I had to translate it so you would be able to understand it. And at the time I didn't have the time...
I can write it to you if you'd like.

I'm back!
Anyway, I did have a good birthday. I invited several friends over for a party at my house (including Malin's brain, apparently...) and we danced the night away under our new deck lights which had just been installed that morning (so we could see what we were doing while we were dancing), then we all squelched through the paddock to the big pile of branches, twigs, sleepers, old chairs and discarded art projects that had come to the end of their useful life, and added flames to it to turn it into a bonfire!
it's a pity that the paddock isn't on a slope, otherwise it would have been a bonfire dotting the rolling hillside...

Hope I've answered all your questions!

Thankyou Anxious! I hadn't noticed either of these greetings when I was supposed to! I just thought I'd go onto the introductions forum and welcome some newbies, and then I saw that MY introductions post (which I haven't seen on page 1 of the intro forum for months) had a message!
Thankyou VERY much for wishing me a Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas, it is extremely kind of you, and I feel very blessed to be aquainted with someone who would bother to do that when she lives on the other side of the world!
My exams went alright. I didn't do have as well in Drama as I would have liked, and I was sick on the day of my Music exam, which made it difficult to focus. This year I only have two exams: both practical ones for Drama. That is, I'm only examined on my performance! The rest of my subjects are all folio based (English Writing and two Art Production subjects. You can sample some of my artworks on my DeviantArt account: Valadix)
I've got to go now, coz I'm getting kicked off the computer, I'll finish this message later...

Hi Jesse! Yes, even after a year it can still be exciting. I haven't posted much though and if you don't post you don't get replies. You sure have livened things up a bit here. Later, Mona

G'day, Jesse: Welcome to Ms. McKennitt's Quinlan Road Forum. I am Loreenya. When you posted on the forum the idea that Ms. McKennitt should come to Australia, I'd definitely agree with you. I know how much you Australians are suffering and dying to meet her. If she comes, mate, be sure to turn on the barbie (look, I'm saying we are frying blonde plastic dolls, okay). You'll have one great cook-out prior to the programme. Well, toodle-loo... toodle-loo...toodle-loo...toodle-loo...(Sounds like a broken record.) --Loreenya

lapluie, I think I've worked this out a bit more. I had a frustrating time this morning trying to put some LM songs from The Visit on my Mp3 player but the computer was being slow, I got a couple, but not all of them. anyway, I already had some from Parallel Dreams and The Mask And Mirror, so I'm not complaining.

Hi Jesse, welcome to the forum, I thought I would return your favour after your post in my welcome thread. Messageboards are quite easy to use, you'll get the hang of it soon enough.
