Greetings,

I'm Gubbleman. That's my display name for a ton of things on the internet. I am not eighteen yet, so I feel that I should be using a psyeudonym instead of my real name.

I've been a Loreena McKennitt fan for about one and a half to two years now. It doesn't seem like a lot of time for me, but I already have all of her CD's except for the new one that just came out, and the live albums.

I geuss I could say my favorite thing about Loreena's style of music is the use of various instruments. I like the way she takes all of the instruments and blends them together so well.

My favorite album would have to be The Book of Secrets, because it was the first album I had got from Loreena. I really like the notes and album artwork from that CD. I immediately liked how Loreena would tell her listeners what inspired her and what compelled her to write such songs.

My favorite song of all time would probably have to be The Bonny Swans. This song is just wonderful. I enjoy the fact that it's got a guitar in it. The video is also amazing.

Apart from Loreena McKennitt, I collect many, many, many other artists music. I would have to start with my biggest collection, Enya. I am sure a lot of you here like her quite a bit. She's always credited for being just like Loreena, but I don't see that in any way. But that kind of accreditation sparks an intrest in the listeners who will go out and buy CD's to compare.

My other collections are artists such as The Cranberries, The Beatles, Sinead O'Connor, Coldplay, Dolores O'Riordan, Enigma, Nightwish, Sigur Ros, and U2.

My favorite thing to do is walk to the music store. By this point in my collection I am usually just remarking to friends about what music I already have. I had a friend who asked me why I hang around if I am only hoping for a rarity in the music store. I just replied "Because it's fun!"

I geuss I'm running out of things to say, but would love to answer any of your questions. Please feel free to ask or PM me. If any member would be happy enough to inform me about Eve Forums that would help me a lot. I only know how to use Invision Free.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. You already seem like a great fanbase

Sadly, I have not seen Loreena live, but I wish to. It looks like this Mediterranian tour won't work. Maybe I will get a chance with the next tour in the States.

I was wondering something. Really the reason I joined this forum. How does LM handle singles, promotions, deluxe editions, and anything else that sparks an intrest beyond collecting the studio albums. I have only seen the three live albums, the words and music, and the two singles available online. I have seen covers for alternate editions of The Visit (There are tons) and some covers for singles. Are they all one track singles or something different? I would love to know.

Now, I have a question for the members who know a little more about these forums. Who are the moderators? Who are the global mods and who are the administrators and how active are they. Plus, is there a private messaging system on these Eve forums?

Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

I know nothing about moderators and global mods (whatever they are), but I just discovered that there is a private messagin system here. You have to add the person whom you want to talk with in your "buddies" list (just click on the name of the person you want to talk with and select "add to my buddies"); thereafter, you can have a private messaging. I think (and I hope) that both person must be in respective buddies list.
it's all that I was able to work out.

Hi Gubbleman

What a funny name. What does it mean? (If it means something specific)
You could write your answer in my post "How did you choose your Alias??" It's found in the General-forum

I am curious...
Have you seen ms McKennitt live?

Your music taste is very wide I think, which gives you a good horizon.
You sound like a music lover Wink

Well I could write for ages...
I just wanted to welcome you. Big Grin

Many regards

Anxious 2

Welcome to thr forum, Gubbleman. It's a big sirprise to me (I've entered this place only a couple of weeks ago) to see how fast grows this sort of web family, and I am more and more pleased to see that a lot of young people loves Loreena's music.
I agree with you: The Book of Secrets (and The Mask and Mirror as well) is probabily the best work. Please, excuse me for my English (and please all athers do), but it is not my mothertungue.
About what is happening in the forum, I can't still help you: I'm trying to read a lot of posts, and I am at the beginning.
Smiles
