I was introduced to Loreena through yahoo music. I would listen on my computer at work. After hearing my first of Loreena's songs, I slowly bought almost every CD. Last week, my wife and I attended our first ever LM concert in Baltimore. GREAT!!! In addition to being such a great talent, we learned she has this truly wonderful laugh and great sense of humor (cracked us up when she dropped a sheet of paper from her pocket.)
I am now retired and do fire safety consulting and work part-time at the lumber company for which I worked before going into the fire service. I also play drums at church most every Sunday. Alice still teaches, which is her full-time passion.

She does have a great laugh...doesn't she? I'm actually curious about the paper falling from her pocket story. care to tell it?

Im up in Fairfax Virginia about 25 minutes from DC. I was at the Baltimore concert too and it was great! Must have been a pretty long drive for you. I was so lost in Baltimore By the Way!

Hihi, did she joke up at the stage too? Bet she did. She had us laugh plenty of times in London, Ontario, the 22th of September. For example, she was musing on how she talked so much, (bothered me none, I like to listen to her soft voice)and that maybe for the next time, she would make an powerpoint presentation. At least I thought is sounded hilarious.

And then that jump she did in the middle of Santiago; she bent her knees almost down to the floor and then high up in the air. When I first saw it, t'was on "Nights from the Alhambra", and I thought it looked so silly, but sitting there watching her IRL made all doubts vanish: she's darn cool. Of course, I couldn't stand rising and cheerig when she did it XD

I am from Southwest VA, so hello neighbor =). It's funny looking back to see how one found new interests and hobbies, you found Loreena randomly through yahoo music, I found her by buying just a random celtic compilation cd. I'm sure you will agree that both moments were fortunate.

I hope you enjoy the forums, and my prayers are with you and all those invovled with fire safety/fighting, specifically with those workers and people in southern California dealing with the outbreak of fires. Our region is under a burning ban because of how dry everything is.

Anyway, I hope you will feel at home on the Forums!
