Yasu, Orestia: Welcome to the Quinlan Road Messageboard. I, too, have a Greek friend who enjoys Ms. McKennitt's music. I like that name "Orestia", it's omorfa. I can speak a little bit of Greek. By the way, I am sorry to hear about that earthquake that hit the other day and ended up killing two people. --Loreenya

Hello, I am Matina Coulouris. I am relatively new to the community board and am still learning how to use it. I've received some replies, but now I'm unsure how to navigate the site technically! I am Greek, but born in the US (Michigan). My parents are from the US and Canada. My grandparents all came from Greece. I am a musician, and have been living in Northern California for the past approximately 30 years. When I was a child, I spoke Greek pretty fluently, but now must re-learn! I hope all is well with you! I love Loreena's music, as it resonates with me on so many levels. I spent many beautiful summers in Stratford, Ontario, in years past.

Hello Orestia and welcome! I believe we share the same desire! I did't have the chance to see Loreena live! Many times i've dreamed Loreena's concert beneath the sacred rock of Acropolis at the Herodion ancient theatre! Let's hope that in the near future it won't be only a dream! Nice to meet you! Take care! "Na eisai panta kala!" On behalf of L.O.G. Hijo de la luna

Yes, that would be great. I remember Yanni did a concert at the base of the Acropolis. I could see Loreena doing the same. I'd love to be there if it happened.
