Hello...glad to be here. ;-) I first came to know of Loreena McKennit via a good friend of mine residing in Manitoba. She said she absolutely loved Loreena's music. She also said, "Shan, you'd love her too", seeing that I'm a song-writer composer. So, a couple of years trickled by, and for some strange reason, I found myself joining "myspace.com". Alas, it wasn't long before I accumulated some wonderful friends, and here I had the opportunity to finally listen to Loreena's music. So, I can thank "myspace" for this, but I'm one to believe that everything transpires for a reason. Well, when I heard Loreena's music, I suddenly remembered my friend's words. And she was right. Life is sacred to me in Soul and Heart, you see. If I could express one sentiment to Loreena, it would be: "Thank you for sharing your gift with so many. Aye, you're indeed a blessed Soul". Well, I don't want to write a book here. I extend my greetings to all. ;-) Warm blessings, Shan-Lyn
I truly am sorry you were not able to see her on this tour as I'm sure you would've loved it. It really was a magical experience. But I'm confident she will tour again in the future, so keep checking in here and be ready to get some pre-sale tickets! For my concert experiences, check in the Tour/Performances forum, where I've detailed how it was for me at the Ann Arbor and Kalamazoo shows when she came through Michigan (I was so lucky to have 2 shows within easy driving distance!) She puts on a first rate concert with a slew of fine backing musicians and a beautiful set and lighting. It's almost impossible to believe that such grand music is being produced live in front of you. And I love how she is so willing to meet with fans afterwards.
