Hi, Ian here

I'm a long-time member of OWL (and one of its off-shoots) since I don't know when (I have vague memories of when the list had to move). I live in the New Forest in England and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I discovered Loreena by accident - saw the picture on the cover of Elemental in a record shop and was intrigued. The song titles fit well with my musical tastes so I took it home (after paying for it), played it and was hooked.

I'm a communications systems engineer by trade, married to a school-teacher (also an one-time OWLer, but that was by coincidence) and when I'm not listening to music, I'm an active member of the SCA (in Insulae Draconis), wannabe writer, renowned cook (at least, in my household), cat lover and internet addict.

I know a few OWLers through different lists, but my faulty memory can't recall how many I have met (other than my wife). I haven't met Loreena, and thus far, haven't managed (not through want of trying) to get to a live gig yet. I did meet Karen and her crew once when I went up to QR offices to pick up a box of CDs to sell at a conference.

Good to (re-)meet with you all.

Hello from across the pond in NYC!

I enjoyed your story very much. Sir, you are truly a writer. Good luck in all your travels. G-d speed.

Jeff (sorry not Geoff)
