at last i put pen to virtual paper to say a warm-hearted hello to everyone...

my name is jules. i’m from the uk though i now happen to live in berlin (i previously lived in bath in south-west england.)

my first musical encounter with loreena was, i think, about eight years ago, when i stumbled across a cd (live in paris and toronto)in a shop in glastonbury. never having heard of her before, i was curious and simply thought ‘that looks interesting’. and so i made my purchase...

and i’m very glad i did... it was most definitely ‘love on first hear’. since then my delight in her music has deepened considerably.

i was very nettled when i missed both her concert and a brief appearance at a bookshop in berlin last year.

but... she and her unsurpassed band returned last week and this time i did manage to attend.

it was a wonderful evening. an acoustic heaven. a feast for the ears. thank you loreena and your troupe...

i already look forward to my next chance to witness a live performance (in the uk perhaps... that would be great!)

thanks!

yes, it was good to receive some replies at last!

I keep my fingers crossed for you, Jesse, that Loreena makes it to Australia very soon... Smiler (another hint!). I'm also hoping that she will perform in the UK, as it wasn't included on her most recent European tour.

Gaia, if she performed in or near Bath, that would be a dream come true. Yes, it's a great place with beautiful surrounding countryside that I dearly miss.

Yes, German is my main other language and the one I offer as a translator. No Spanish, I'm afraid, Jesse.

nice meeting you both Cool

Hello julesrobyn, welcome to the message board!
first of all sorry that it's taken so long for you to get a reply. I hope you don't feel rejected! Red Face
Lucky you, getting to see Loreena live! I wish she would come to Australia sometime soon. I've dropped a lot of hints all over the message board that tell our favourite canadian singer to please come down here! (here's another one, Loreena!)
I see from your public profile that you're a traanslator...what other languages can you speak? I presume it would be German seeing as you currently reside in Berlin, but please tell me anyway (if you speak Spanish, you will find that very useful as there are lot of Spaniards, on this MB...I don't know maybe they're trying to invade or something Big Grin)
Anyway, I'd better go. Nice meeting you!
Luv Jesse Razzer
