Hello Guys!

Well, My name is Laurent, I live in Brazil and I study Letters and Arts at the University. So, it's easy to understand why I love Loreena McKennitt...

I'm a big fan of Loreena, and I know her art since I was 14 (about 6 years ago). Her music touches my heart in such a special way... I feel so blessed when I'm listening to her songs... It's like an inexplicable feeling... It's like traveling around the world and playing with a Time Machine... She frees my soul and my worries are taken away from me.

I love music (I'm a singer, by the way), art and Celtic Culture.

So, that's it. We probably have many things in common hehe

Cya around, ma friends. Wink

Laurent.

Always great to meet other persons who absolutely adore to completely explore the process of singing - it would be really great to visit your instruments/voices topic around the forum. Welcome to the forum, Laurent! I am sure you will have an enjoyable time over here with all of us! Wink

Well, here in Brazil "Letters and Arts" means that at the University you are studying Portuguese, English, Linguistics, Literature (and a lot of different things related to languages, Literature and culture - brazilian and even african culture) and everything about Art (even the prehistoric art). When graduated, you will be qualified to teach Portuguese/English or Spanish/Grammar/Arts or to be a researcher (knowing that "reasearcher" means that you're gonna study everything about languages and theories, etc).

Thank you Nichya for entlightening me Smiler
Now I learned something new again...

And thanks for the info Mark, though it didn't exactly answer my question... Wink

Be well

Wow! That seems like a really cool major...although I'm already enrolled at Cal Poly SLO as an animal science major with a minor in agribusiness...But the classes one would take for a Letters degree seems like a lot of fun!

Hi Nichya

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but I never heard of an education called Letters and Arts. Or is it just a part of your education?
What kind of education is it?

I like your imagination of ms. McK's songs; as playing a time machine. Smiler I might think that next time I listen to her music.

Well anyway I hope you will have fun here.

Greetings

Anxious 2
