I'm new here. Since I've been studying very hard 'til this semester I didn't have time to check everything available at this site yet. Maybe now I can try... The first thing I want to know is: what are those Karma points?? Greetings from Brazil!! Ah, does someone here post in Spanish or only in English? It's just a curiosity, English is easier to me...
Yes, sometimes the cover art can be enough to intrigue. That's how I got interested in Enya, I loved her cover for the album "Watermark". It was because of Enya that I learned of Loreena. Some music catalog said if I liked Enya, then I might be interested in Loreena. They were right!

Well, Dan I'm not worried about English, maybe just a little about the listening part of TOEFL...( too much fast you, know). Vocabulary is not a problem for who likes singers/songwriters as Loreena and Paul Simon: they provide me a lot of useful and not so useful words , as the newset strange ones I've learned in THE ANCIENT MUSE :"caravanserai " and "howdahs". Talking about Loreena, she's less known than her songs, I guess. It's because some of her songs had appeared on movies and also in some soap operas, so you can find people that knows the songs but not knows her personally. Of course I'm talking about common people, the ones that stand heard the s... they play on radio or TV. And even those ones like her songs when they have the opportunitty to listen to. My personal case was funny: I saw her album THE WINTER GARDEN at the mall and fell in love for the look of it ... I didn't know who was she, nor the kind of music she did, and I also have no wish to listen the CD there because the people there are very boring... I would't buy a CD under those conditions, so I left the place... just to return later and finally got iT!! For some reason the stuff had touched me and I was not been able to forget it! The rest is history: since you hear the first, you are captive forever...
So I will keep improving just the English... No problems...(except that I will forget my spanish pretty soon, even my spanish friends speak english...). Thank you for your answer, I'll be back with better questions soon...I hope!
Welcome to the community! The karma points are just something you get everytime you post something or reply to something, because you said hello and created this posting you now have one point and I get one because I replied. They don't do anything except really just measure your participation in the community on the message board. You can see your Karma points in the bottom left corner of the posting. No Spanish here.
