An international station in a verry verry small country, between Holland, Duitsland, Luxembourg and France.
A flowershop...

And so many people coming out, coming in, leaving, transiting !
So many men, women and children, coming from so many different places, so many different pasts, different lives, origines and thinking!

International station.
An open space. With so many directions, so many possibilities!
having choice to stay, or to leave.
To come back, or not. Or not yet...
To go to the East, to the North, to the West, or to the Soud.
So am I here, in this particulary place, trying to speak the same language that this man, or that women caming from another place, another country.

International station...
And each day, having the possibility to approach what is unknowed; to open ourself to the foreigner and so to have chance to outreach our frights. To satisfy our curiosity.

Whatever modernity and technology can offer to ourself, there will always be some root which we could not forget. Because something is calling us, something that we would'nt leave or forget for anything in the world. Independently of religion's, political's and personnal questions and positions.

"Root", sing like the world "route" ("road", in english) in french.
A road wich lead us towards ourself, what we are, with a certain idea of "plurality" and liberty.

With all of the cultural, human, artistical and spiritual treasures that this way implies.

That is the way I'll ever follow...
And Loreena McKennitt's music is like the echo of all of these things I can feel in me.

That was my intruction of myself...
A bit too long, maybe///
sorry!

Personally I think an introduction can never be too long.
It's the reader, that might be too impatient! Big Grin

I love your reflection on An international station / The Mystic's Dream.
So many ´ways to describe it...

Anyway I hope you'll have fun here.

Oh! I almost forgot to ask how you came across the music of ms. McKennitt?

Greetings

Anxious

Hey, welcome too the forum.
I really liked your introduction. You're so right. I always get to feel like that myself when I am at railway stations, or airports, or by the seashore.
Where exactly are you from?

Cheers, Anni
