Hello all and Happy Valentine's Day. My name is Joan and I live in upstate NY surrounded by 12 beautiful acres of woods and a rambling stream. I never knew this board was here; am so happy to have found it. I have two beautiful grandchildren who we get to babysit at least 2 days a week. They are a joy and make life uplifting and exciting.
I love Loreena's music. I discovered it around 2002 after an injury that left me out of work. I was seeing a massage therapist and she had this beautiful music playing...it was The Book of Secrets album. I was hooked and went out and found it at a Barne's and Nobles bookstore...got my husband hooked and the rest is history.
I have so wanted to be able to see her in concert. Travel is hard for me so didn't get to anywhere where she was in the US. Hoping that another tour will be coming close to Albany, NY or Saratoga, NY (which is an outdoor venue).
Look forward to meeting other fans...joan

Hello again to both of you...hoping things will slow down here just a bit so I can catch up and get a bit more involved. We are in the throws of winter's end up here (at least that's what we are hoping) The wind is howling and the snow is flying....I did think today was the first day of spring! Good things to come.

Hi Joan,
Its nice to meet you and I'm sorry that you suffered such a bad injury. Hope you are able to recover quickly. I live near the woods in Ohio and I'm so lucky to have the life that I have. Its so nice to come home at the end of a work day and have some greenery around you. I started listening to Loreena's music on a local radio station and I've been hooked since I first heard her voice. Somehow she seems to capture ghosts of the past that we can all feel living in our present. I look forward to talking to you in the future.
