My name is Martín, I am 32 and I live in Castellón, Spain, close to Valencia. I work as an engineer.
I discovered Loreena recently and she has become one of my favourite artists...
Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, Bruce Springsteen, The Shadows, Emmylou Harris, Bach and Boccherini are part of my life too. Apart from music, I love animals, nature, sports, art, reading history and mistery books and travelling (this summer I am going to Galicia, Spain)
I listen to Loreena especially at night... she makes me dream, I´m serious!!!
Well, from now on I´ll be here very often as this site is one of the most interesting ones I have ever visited. It will be interesting talking with you all about Loreena´s music.
Yes, I understand we are suppose to write in English, but its not a problem. My email address is: alexandra_katherinah@hotmail.com. And yes you are right! We just write in Spanish, a big part of the world knows very well the language.. but anyway.
People love Argentina and its a beautiful place to come and enjoy. By the way do you like tango? Me, not that much.. tourists are so crazy about it..
I understand how you feel when you listen to Loreena, her music makes me feel very well too, and I enjoy it a lot. Talking about designing Loreena´s next album sleeve, I think you should try to communicate with the people that read all the emails the fans send and suggest this to her, because its actually such a nice idea to let someone who enjoys her music doing it. Martin, as I always say, The Sky is The Limit!!!! Never forget that!
Greece? You will just love it, Ive been in lots of places but couldnt get to know the islands, Ive just been in Syros, the heart of the Cycladic Islands. Athens is is both cosmopolitan and antique city because of the history which is so strong! You walk and suddenly see the Parthenon, Zeus' Temple etc.. thats so incredible!! Its a mix of old and new! I can write more about this and I will soon.
I know Spain is great and I love the cusine, actually im not a fan of paella, as I dont like fish that much, but i do really love natillas, churros , and everything that has to do with patisserie! Its so good! Here at cable tv, we have two chefs from Spain, one is Adria and the other is Borja Blasquez... they cook wonderfully. I dont know if I mentioned this but Im a big fan of Joaquin Cortez too.. and many Spanish writers.
Bruce, he just rocks, from the cd devils and dust, i love the song worlds appart, losome day, empty sky, and you are missing (its so sad).. he cannot be any better... I really hope to see him soon, he produces successful cds all the time, its not just because, the fact they call him: The Boss! Thanks for the news.. Ive been a bit absent from his web site. I really hope he comes! He knows Argentina loves him.
Yes, the same happens to me, Im not very in the mood to study but I have to, Im near the end so I have to give my best!
Martin, I dont know if I answered everything, If I didnt, let me know.
Sending you regards from Buenos Aires all covered by leaves! Autumn here!

I received an email from Quinlan Road yesterday saying this is a forum in English and that we must write messages in that language because they find difficulties in getting someone to translate from Spanish (in order to control the contents of messages)...can you believe it? I would understand that if we wrote in Norwegian or Malaysian...but, Spanish???
We love Loreena and all the people who work with her, so let´s help them. Although Spanish is our mother tongue, we should respect the rules, don´t you think so? Anyway, if you want to keep in touch in Spanish you can write to me to:
knopfler12003@lycos.com
Buenos Aires...Argentina... It is one of my pending trips, I would like to go there soon, Argentina must be a beatiful country! I have some colleagues from Argentina at work and they are really nice people. Some of them are architects and another one is an engineer. I work as a Technical Engineer, but I am at university again in the evenings to get the Industrial Engineer diploma as well.
So I work and study with numbers too, like you! Sometimes I study with Loreena´s music, it helps me concentrate when I am not in the mood for studying, which is very often
I also listen to Loreena when I am drawing or painting...her music is inspiration... Now I am working on a difficult but wonderful project: I am representing Loreena´s songs with drawings. I am trying to put all her songs in images...I´ll show some of them to you very soon. How I wish I coud design Loreena´s next album sleeve!
Unfortunately, I have never been to Greece. To tell the truth, my next trips (if everything goes ok) are: Galicia (Spain, where I have been twice), Ireland (in March, I hope), Greece (maybe in summer next year), USA (probably in 2009) and Argentina.
I have been to Santiago (the capital city of Galicia) twice. It is one of my favourite places. It is a wonderful and beautiful town, with a mysterious and historical atmosphere everywhere. For me, it is the most beautiful city in Spain. I am sure everyone who likes Loreena´s music would love Santiago de Compostela.
Sevilla is also a nice city, but I don´t like it much. For me, the most beautiful cities in Spain, apart from Santiago, are Valencia,Málaga, Granada, Toledo and Salamanca.
What about Greece? Tell me things about it, I am going to need your suggestions and opinions for my planned trip!
Loreena´s new album sounds so beautiful and mysterious...I think it´s because the Greek and Turkish influences...I love that kind of music... By the way, can you recommend me a modern Greek artist who plays traditional or part-traditional Greek music?
Latest news from USA say that Bruce is working on a new album with the E Street Band, and that there will be a new world tour in 2008 probably...Maybe he will visit Argentina this time! Anyway, you should save some money and get to the USA or Europe to see him... people should see Bruce in concert at least once in their lives!
Well, I must stop here.
Has estado en Grecia?

It´s nice to meet a fan of Loreena in Argentina, one of my favourite countries, one of my pending trips...
Yes, Loreena makes me dream... I listen to her especially at night, in my room. I open the window, I burn some incense and I light two candles... Then I close my eyes and I can imagine myself travelling across Ireland, Greece, Turkey, Mongolia, China or ancient Spain...
At the moment my favourite song is Dante´s Prayer and my favourite one from An Ancient Muse is Penelope´s Song...I think they are her most beautiful songs... they are so tender, beautiful, warm...
What do you think about the last album?
So you like Bruce!!!! Incredible!! Is is funny as Bruce and Loreena are so different...and we both love them! I attended Bruce´s concert in Valencia last October, when he came with The Seeeger Sessions Band...wonderful, what a show and what a band! he is a better artist everyday... big guitar player, wonderful composer... Simply "the Boss". Es un monstruo!!! I am waiting very eager for his dvd "Live in Dublin" with The Seeger Sessions Band, which is coming out next month...
I also want to have in my hands Loreena´s dvd recorded at the Alhambra in Granada...unfortunately, it will take some months...
what a pity, I wanted to reply to the Spanish people here in Spanish but it is not possible...English only...
Well, Laura & Jose, nice to meet you, there is a good lot of Spaniards here, that means Loreena has a great audience in Spain... and she knows (as showed in Murcia, Barcelona and especially Granada).
Unfortunately, I wasn´t able to attend any of her concerts...
Now I am very eager waiting for her dvd recorded at the Alhambra...
I hope you got to see Loreena & company when they were at the Alhambra last year, or Murcia/Barcelona in March of this year. The music is absolutely wonderful!
