Hi to everybody.
I just discovered this place, ad I obviously hasten to join.
Perhaps I'm a little bit aged for these things - I've turned my 52nd birthday just a few days ago, but the idea of meeting a lot of people sharing my passion for Loreena's music is too fascinating.
I discovered Loreena's music back in the 80's, and I never stop to listen and admire her; I also transmitted this passion to my daughter (19 years), and as a matter of fact we both think she is simply a goddess. That event is by far the best one I have ever seen in all my life.
We attended at her concert in Udine (Italy), last July, and we both can hardly wait for a new tour, wherever in Europe.
What eelse? I hate stupidity and triviality... It's 1.45 in the night, so please excuse me if this message is not my best.

A big hug to everybody, and if someone wants to write me, I'll be very very happy.

Giovanni from Bari - Italy

And we will show you some place that you probabily ignore... you know, the village of our Apulia are full of unknown wonders!!!

I agree! I love that unknown wonders!
Our Apulia is wonderful and we sometimes forget.

quote:

Yes, Castel del monte would be a perfect place for Loreena's Concert, because - as you know - it was a crossroad of cultures and civilizations. In the Middle Age Frederick II of Svevia was very interested in oriental and Arabic culture, and had a great hand in importing it in western world. Loreena's music also has a lot of oriental sounds, and her music is a crossroad of music coming from all the world. That's the magic...
I'm dreaming about listening "Santiago" in such a scenary, dreaming of medieval knights galloping around in the woods (not that nowadays there are much of them...) on their white horses and searching for the Graal. And, why not, rescuing some young lady from the dragon.
Let's nothing to dismay. Sometimes dreams turn into reality.

You're right! I think that Castel del Monte is simply perfect for a Loreena's concert.
I really hope that one day, not far, she can visit our land and sing here. I'm sure: she will like this place Wink.
Smiles, Mary

About "Castel del Monte" I think that the space in front of the castle, where there is the main entrance, is perfect for a concert. I'm imagining the castle with some lights, under the hill... for me it would be magic!

To make a poll you find the line at the top of every side saying "Go - New - Find - Notify..."

Choose "New" (there are 2 choices, "Discusion" and "Poll"). Choose "Poll"

Then it should be easy. Just write a little message, the question and the answers/opsions you want people to choose from.

And then "Post Now". Big Grin

Hope you can figure it uot better now.

What do you think?

Why not? I'do that, but I don't still know how to do it, I've a lot of things to learn. I promise I'll do my best, also with my not so very good English...
And anyway, I'm trying to read a lot of messages on the bord, to have an idea of what people think and write here. Please be patient at me...

Welcome Giovanni! You are lucky to share your fascination and passion for Loreena's music along with your daughter. Unlike about myself, I'm the one of my family to listen to her. In fact, it has become soon an intimate part of my life. It means that I listen to her songs by myself using my earphones, such intense times! When she is in concert I imagine myself alone with her, and even that moment turns into an intimate time.

Again, my fault; I don't know why but Bari and Tirol sends the same images to my head.

And about your trip to Istanbul, I'm very glad to hear that. It's a great city for sightseeing (though I can't say the same for living in it, there's so many people and ugly buildings and shacks and those bloody cars; yuck! ), I'd like to give you some information for nice places to see if you wanted to: )

See you around
nevermore (I didn't make a word game with my user name here)

It was not a matter of time, we wuold have plenty of it. Problem was that Loreena and her stunning gruop of musicianc seemed to vanish in thin air, no trace of them. We tought that there some magic in the air.

Tirol region is an Austrian Land nowadays, it's the region near Innsbruck. The land you refer to is called Suedtirol in German and Alto Adige in Italian, and is the region of Bolzano, more or less 1,000 kilometers north to Bari...
Istanbul? We are plannig to spend some days there, as soon as possible.
Still raining Italy, and springtime does not come...

A think I much appreciate in Loreena is that she does nothing for hiding her age. I was abuot 5 meters far of her at the concert (thanks to my daughter who ran as a bullet to get first seats... agility of a teenager). But all the same, she is gorgeous - simply a goddess.

Another sunny smile, also if tonight is raining.

So, you are very young. This is the bright side of this kind of music: there is no limit for people who like it, no nationality, no gender, no age... and I'm very pleased and surprised to see how many replies my introduction got...

You can hardly say that Bari is a village, since it is a pretty sizable city (about 500,000 inhabitants) and is in the south-eastern part of Italy, in Apulia; Austrian never arrived here. The whole northern part of Italy (from Alps to - say - Florence were taken by German and Austrian in WW2) but, over all, was the Mussolinian regime that kindly presented almost Italy to Hitler. A dark page in the world history.

A big hug from sonny Italy...

No, of course there is no limit age. Opposite, I found that growing older made me love more and more some kind of music, as LmK, classic music and so on. I reckon that every one of us, here in old Europe, is waiting for another Loreena's tour and we hope in Ryanair routes :-)
You never know, a lot of us could meet in that case. why not?
Greetings
