Time to introduce I gather.

I'm a fan of Loreena's music and I suppose her 'philosophy' and have been since around 1994/1995, perhaps even earlier.

My introduction to Loreena was through a great friend of mine who has heavily into the 'romantic' themes of the Arthurian story and she made me listen to 'Lady of Shallott' in the early 90's and I remember thinking it was a great song but I wasn't at the right place to fully take it in.

It made an impact at perhaps a subliminal level though as I continued to remember it at odd intervals until I was browsing through a selection of music and came across The Mask and the Mirror in 1995 and recalled her name and I just bought the album 'on spec' and found myself enthralled when I listened.

From that time on I was a 'fan'.

I tracked down all her albums to date and was then exceptionally lucky to see her in Sydney in 1995 on her The Mask and the Mirror tour - a truly magical experience.

I have continued to follow her releases and, along with many of her fans, was saddened by her personal loss after The Book of Secrets. As we all did, I respected her wishes to withdraw from her creative world until such time as she felt ready and it was great anticipation I first heard that she was travelling again and planning a new album as it not only meant I was to hear new music but it meant that as a person, Loreena was at a place where this made sense to her.

I have been immersing myself in An Ancient Muse and look forward to participating in discussions on this board on the music and the meaning of her work.

So again, greetings from Australia (Rockhampton in Queensland to be particular)

Nice to know that it is real exspectations that propel us to divinity.Like A boomerang you pick up on those subliminal messages and sometimes find they might have been ment just for you to escape the otherside so keep creation as A friend michele and I promise you'll build A strong faith.
