Hello everyone!
I am a new fan of Ms. McKennitt's music. I have known about her since the first week in August of this year. And i have been playing her music nonstop for almost three weeks. I really love this style of mixing Celtic and Middle Eastern styles. Not to mention I just love her voice!

Since I'm a new fan and don't know everything, are there any different versions of her albums besides alternative covers and the sould out "No Journey's End" DVD bonus on the main site? I will admit that I'm a youtube junkie, and I noticed pictures of albums or EPs that are not mentioned on QR site. Being part of the forum and the email chain (QR Community?) will they alert me to these type of releases in the future? Thank you in advance for your help? And i can't wait to start talking amongst all of you!!

Hello. Yes I got the email blast, but it was after I posted my last post. Thank you for asking though. I was worried before the email blast of MO if it all was properly processed, that's all.

Jesse- Thank you for the warm welcome. I came up with my username a few years ago. I always thought that it was a cool nickname whenever I watched Grease with Olivia Newton-John. One of the Pink Ladies was nicknamed Frenchie, the one with the pink hair at one point. Since then, I have used this name for any and all fan boards that I subscribed to.

Its a little funny how I found out about Loreena. I noticed her name on another artist's forum board where the other posters were talking about Loreena. At the time, I didn't care what was being said nor did I look LM's music up. However, the first of August this year, I went through the music section of a Best Buy store. During this time, I looked at every artist's album that was displayed and checked out anything that interested me. I noticed first Live at Alhambra, and how a artist I liked sang a song about Alhambra and remembered seeing Loreena's name before. I picked up the set and looked at the artwork, and then went to the several CDs of hers on the rack further down. The pictures appeared to me to be an artist who created a world with her music and possibly did fantasy, which I like. I told myself then, I would look her up on youtube which I eventually did. A few days later, her name popped back up on the other artist's forums again, and I asked for some recommendations. I took the forumers suggestions, and checked out from my local library The Visit and Book of Secrets. From first hearing All Souls Night, I became a fan...my first Loreena song I ever heard.

Hi Frenchie, Welcome to the fan hall of QUINLAN ROAD. You are going to have so much fun here sharing your thoughts and hearing everyone else. In any case, I think I can answer your questions.

You will receive updates on Loreena when signing up through the button that says Join the QR Community. They will send you newsletters from time to time of Loreena's goings ons. Like if she has concerts coming up, or online chats. For example through the QR emails, I found out that Loreena would appear at Barnes & Noble in New York. I was so excited and it was great. And of course you find out a lot here on the message board. I hope this helps.

I'm sorry I can't answer your questions. Guess you have to wait for more expert fans than me. I'm only a beginner yet.
