Hello, and welcome into my world. I invite you to get lost among my thoughs and dreams. My name is Paul. I am 24 born in NYC but living happily in West Virginia. I first discovered Loreena's music when she released The Mummers Dance. I heared it on the radio and I was hooked. I began collecting anything I could find by her. It wasn't until November of 2007 that I finally had the chance to see her in concert. I took my mother as anniversary gift to Tennesee and suprised her with the concert. What made the trip even better is that we had front row tickets. The evening was truley magical. It was like sitting down with an old friend for tea and to hear thier stories and adventures. I am afraid I was a bit too excited and found myself singing along with her. I was not loud, but the women next to me asked me to be quiet. If you are reading this, I am sorry. What made the entire night was that we had the chance to meet Loreena after the concert. I was so prepared to tell her how much I enjoyed not only her but her music as well, but all I managed to do was shake her hand and mumble somethng about an autograph.

I have rambled, but writing is one of my passions in life. Actually, it is my one solace in this crazy world we live in. I look forward to getting to know all of you and hope you will drop in to say hello from time to time.

Gina, I sence a wisdom and beauty within you that is without compare. I look forward to discovering these and other the fascinations you have. I was uncertain as to what came over me at the concert. I forgot my place momentarily. But her music captivated you in a such a way, you find yourself lost within the it. I quickly remebered after a reprimand from the women next to me. A lessom I won't soon forget.

Merry Meet again Paul!
You have a sweet tongue, or shall I say fingers? Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I do get lost in Loreena's music unlike anyone else that I have heard. It sends you far away to a mystical place where dreams open up to your will. Somehow her music and voice unlocks barriers that keep our imaginations out of reach and brings it to us on a silver platter at the same time it warms our hearts.
I can understand how you could loose your mind with being face to face with Loreena. I would have fainted dead right in front of her. My friend had to work early the next morning, so I couldn't spend any time to meet with her. Hopefully she'll make it back to Seattle. If you see her again, give her a hug of graditude for me, please. Thanks in advance. Smiler
And by the way, a Native American shaman told me "My children don't be afraid to sing", keep singing!!!
May you walk with beauty,
Gina

How about you, sir? What do you do for a living? Do you think or feel that you and Ms. McKennitt have something in common? --Loreenya
What do I do for a living? Can anyone really say what they do to maintain their livelihood? Notice my feeble attempt to sound existential? The truth is right now I am currently between jobs, but can hold my head up high because I maintain a the position of fulltime student. You, Ms. Natalie, appear to have a vast creative soul. Dancer, theologian, musician, humorist. And a writer as well. Simply wonderful. I write a lot of poetry, mostly dark. It provides a healthy outlet sometimes. Other times, I am inspired by someone and the particular situation they may be dealing with. I also write short stories, with a more pleasant overtone. One that I am working on now I actually got the idea while listening to “The Old Ways”. I was on a camping trip, and I always sleep under the stars (weather permitting). “The Old Ways” was playing on my MP3 and I became inspired to write a story about the constellations. I hope to complete it soon. I look forward to getting to know you better, perhaps thru your writing. I would be happy to share some of mine. Until next time.

How lucky you are for meeting Loreena in person and being so close to her at the concert. I was 8 rows back from the stage and dare I not sing for spoiling her voice. No I could never do that to her in concert. In my car or at home all the time until someone perferes me not to sing.
Take care and glad you are with us.
Peace and Beauty,
Gina
