I was watching the movie "Soldier" and I was so touched by the music at one scene. After the movie ended, I would still remember the music which doesn't happen often. I found out the song and the singer "Night Ride Across the Caucasus, Loreena McKennitt". When I listened to it on youtube, I was surprised to find that it had Turkish influence. When I listened to it during the movie, I really didn't notice it. I then visited the website and learned about her. What a personality! She is truly one of a kind.
It was a couple of years ago that I was watching this turkey: Soldier, when wafting out of the TV came "Night Ride...". It was a total surprise as the music's theme bore no relation to the activity on the screen, which was centered in a futuristic rubbish dump.
In the end the only redeeming part of the blood thirsty film was hearing the short piece of Loreena's evocative music.

I agree, LM is truly a great artist. I discovered her music in 1996 when the library where I worked, bought The Visit . I Was entranced and bought my own CD. Next was The Mask and the mirror, since then I have tried to buy all. Thank you for uncountable hours of peace and enjoyment.
