I just wonder if she went to Sloppy Joe's and had a Papa Dobles! Or went to visit the original Margaritaville where she could bone up on her Jimmy Buffett for the future joint album!

The reason I was wondering if Loreena took a commercial flight to get from Canada to Florida vs. going on a military plane is because I once hopped a ride on a C-130 (435 Squadron's primary aircraft) and I can tell from personal experience it's not exactly the most comfortable way to travel (it's cold and loud for the passengers). But I'm sure it was a memorable experience for her.

I was just in Florida this past week when I'd read that Loreena had been in Key West. At first by the way the article was phrased, it sounded like Loreena was there the same time I was but I see now she was there in January. It was 90 degrees this past week but I suspect regardless it must've been nice coming from Canada to the south in any of these past winter months. I know for here, spring has been long in coming. At any rate, I hope she didn't get a sunburn like I did and that she found the surrounding areas agreeable and proof that someday green grass will return to the north.
At first I had a hard time believing she was really in Key West - I had no idea Canadian forces mingled with US forces for training exercises.
I suspect it was a joint exercise since it was in Florida. We (I work for the Navy) do these all the time although I'm not sure what role the Army might have. Having the honorary commission she would most probably had flown down there with the team on the plane vice commercial. Since they're a search & rescue unit I'm guessing their role was to find someone in the water, such as a flier who had to bail out. In any mission, operation or exercise, search and rescue is one of the important jobs.

Where did it say she met with the US Army? I thought she was just there with the Canadian air force. I wonder if she flew down by a regular commercial flight or if she went all the way on a military transport?
I've always wanted to go to Key West. It would've been funny if I'd been down there and I suddenly spotted Loreena on the beach! I wonder if she visited the shipwreck treasure museum.

I am surprised Ms. McKennitt did not go to Disney World. What happened with that? Anyway, I believe it's amazing she got to meet with the US Army. --Loreenya
