Hey guys..

I have talked to many Loreena's fans in the past who have dreamt of Loreena..

Personally I have heard many times in my dreams the Courtyard Lullaby and once I have dreamt of dancing the Santiago somewhere in a forest.. I think I have seen (but not sure) Loreena from far distance though... Well I love those dreams..so mysterius.. Smiler

I think that Loreena's music touches so much our souls that can be part of our dreams. Elements of her lyrics are mixed in our subconsius side...

A nice, happy ending indeed, after tears Wink. This is the part of your dream I prefer best, you and L driking wine is too funny Smiler.

I had some dreams of her, but this one is my favourite (it happened in July, 2010):

Well, I don't know where it was, but was a concert, I was sooo excited, I sat in the front raw. But when the concert started I couldn't see her! Anybody could! She was hidden at the right, behind a curtain. It was very weird, so I got up and went to the backstage, there was a member of Quinlan Road signing some photos (writing Loreena's name, of course), I asked him what was going on, but he ignored me.

So I though: "Loreena is not here!!!! Where is she? Why she is not here? Well, she can't be so far"

So I went looking for her, didn't take long I saw her, she was sitting on a bench, in a square. I sat down beside her. She was sad, crying! Frowner She said that she couldn't do that any longer, she was tired, she needed to rest, was too much responsibility, and everyone always wanted more and more of her: "I wanna a new cd, i wanna see you in a concert" and she had some problems with the label! It was heartbreaking. Frowner

She cried a little more, but suddenly she got up, and she was much better, somewhat relieved. I looked at her and Loreena stretched her hand to me, like something very usual (but you will understand: it was Loreena's hand!!! Red Face ).

And this is the best part: When i touched her hand, it was very soft (I still can feel). It was like the eternity. I also got up, we walked a little and we went to a pub, where we had some wine and talked about ordinary things... Smiler

WELL I HAD MY FIRST DREAM ABOUT HER LAST NIGHT,IT WAS AMAZING AND SO REAL, SHE GAVE A CONCERT HERE IN MY CITY (WHICH I DOUBT IT EVER HAPPENS) AND I COULD MEET HER AFTER THE CONCERT, I CRIED LIKE A BABY WHEN I GOT TO HUG HER, IT WAS SUCH A HUGE EMOTION TO HOLD, WE ENDED UP BEING GOOD FRIENDS AND SHE WAS LIKE A MOTHER TO ME AND SHE ALSO TREATED ME AS A DAUGHTER, WHEN I WOKE UP I FELT SAD BECAUSE IT WASN'T REAL BUT I FELT ALSO GOOD BECAUSE IT FELT REAL. I'VE GOT TO ADMIT THAT I'D LOVE TO HAVE LOREENA AS MY MOTHER, SHE'S PERFECT, AN INCREDIBLE HUMAN BEING; MAYBE I FEEL HER AS A MOTHER CAUSE MY OWN MATHER WAS NEVER GOOD TO ME, NEVER TOLD ME SHE LOVED ME, AND LOREENA'S SWEETNESS AND OUR AGE DIFERENCE MAKES HER LOOK LIKE MY IDEAL MOTHER RATHER THAN FRIEND. I HOPE I COULD MEET HER ONE DAY. I WON'T LEAVE THIS WORLD WITHOUT GOING TO ONE OF HER CONCERTS AND WITHOUT MEETING HER! I'D DO WHATEVER IT TAKES BUT I'VE GOT TO THANK HER PERSONALY FOR BEING MY INSPIRATION AND MY STRENGHT TO GO ON AND FOR THE PEACE SHE BROUGHT INTO MY LIFE! I LOVE YOU LOREENA, FOR EVER!

I have to admit that I had many dreams about seeing Ms. McKennitt, some of which I had duets with her. I had one in which one woman pretended to be Loreena McKennitt. She acted like McKennitt, spoke like McKennitt, looked like McKennitt and sang like McKennitt and I had a fun time with "Loreena McKennitt"...much like when you spend a day with Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins or as Maria Von Trapp from "The Sound of Music." That woman (who turned out to be someone called Thelma) really tricked me and boy, was I disappointed. I wish I could tell you all, but I just don't have the time at this moment. Loreenya

I had another one last night! First, we were on the bus home from school (a school bus...weird!) and I had an eye appointment before school, and the doctor put drops in my eyes to relax them (see I Love Lucy episode #77: Lucy has her eyes examined) so I couldn't see a thing! Then things went downhill from there for me as I made a complete fool of myself!!!

Last night I dreamed of Loreena; I was waiting for her at a supposed meet & greet in my town - more unlikely than ever - and she never came, though Frowner. I early sat there to get a good seat in first row, but soon after a while the room was full of people so that I found myself left behind, and the wait was vain. Will it have maybe a hidden, negative meaning?? Roll Eyes

I have had some pretty...ummmm...interesting dreams about Loreena! One was she had come to my hometown on tour, and my buddy the other Alex Herbert and I were part of our school's online tv station (VC Time), and we both interviewed her at the same time! Another one, last night's, was at the Vancouver Olympics, where she not only performed in the opening ceremonies, but participated in one of the snowboarding competitions and won gold Big Grin! Strange... Razzer

Thank YOU Rossin for the links!!!
I enjoyed her music and loved the lyrics!!!
I now have to add her to my cd collection!!!
Yes, you are correct about that bridge where my spirit guides and I meet. I would like to cross that bridge more often to learn about the other side to enhance my life here.
If you decide to contact her again, please let her know she has another fan.
Blessings from here and there,
Gina

Dear Gina! Yes i found a link to this song and i'm posting it below.
About what you say about your dreams affecting your daily life: my feeling is that this probably means that you have a solid "bridge" established that connects these two realms--something i strive for-a long terms work...
They say, a grain of awareness from the day durring dream, and vice versa makes a 'solid' bridge little by little. A passeage that can let unexplored faculties of us surface...

Here i post to you, or any friend who would like to listen to it, this song with the dream phrase. The singer is a very talanted poet called Bret Crain. Her range of creativity is wide: from satirical poetry, through extravagant lyricism to sort of post modern electronic surrealism. song:
H u r r i c a n e

we used to write emails from time to time before and i haven't spoken to her for some time but i found these samples of her music here:
Bret Crain

enjoy Smiler

Hi 8R8!!!

How true your friends words are and I thank you for sharing them with us. My most vibrant dreams affect me the most that inhance my life and growth. Do you have any of your friends' songs recorded? Is there any way we can hear them?

I wonder if Loreena dreams about her fans? Do they freighten her or do they support her or does she even dream of her fans?

She definately represents different aspects to us that influences our lives for the better and it plays out in our dreams for us to learn even more of ourselves and our world. I have dreampt of Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart) once and the dream didn't amount to much. No other public figure has influenced my dreams as Loreena has had. WHAT A WOMAN!!!

With all these interesting beings here this place is very inspiring! Thank you for the chance of being hereSmiler

As for dreaming Loreena,
sometime ago i dreamt with Loreena. When i saw her i sneaked closer to her (hehe) to enjoy her
company. But then she turned at me and looked with eyes of PURPOSE, and emergency and let out a most piercing scream.
I have no problem with knowing directly what this all means: it meant "no time for too much indulging, you indulge too much and the spirit always recedes if one neglects it...act light and consistent and in silence, cut the constant postponning that makes us lazy and heavy and turn in circles...".

So that was my Loreena dream Smiler I felt she could tell these things in dream directly as in real life through her public person she tells such things in a subtle ways inbetween the lines...

So i try and take care of the spirit, through be alert of putting affection and gratitude in my words-in this instance...

Gina, i find insight in your questions too: they urge one to be aware in dream. In all sincerity i have very short awareness time in dream and need an simple and orderly awaken time in terms to be fully aware of my feelings in dream.
I had once a friend and she was writing these ongs, and one line said: "all it takes is a dream to awaken from your slumber"
time for practiceSmiler
