An Ancient Muse is nominated for a Grammy for the best contemporary world music album. The other artists nominated in the same category are totally unknown in Italy, at least to me. There is even a thread about Grammy nomination started by Judith yesterday.

Thank you, free soul, for the photographs. I am sure Ms. McKennitt looks decent. I like the ones from the Edmonton Folk Festival. I mean, Loreena looks so natural in those pictures, despite her being like ninety-nine years old and still young. I agree that does deserve Grammy alongside Enya, who's gotten four of them. Anyway...let's give a hand to, ladies and gentlemen, the wonderful Wizard of Stratford, Ms. Loreena I.I. McKennitt, on her SOCAN award.

Congratulations Loreena on the SOCAN award. 100,000 air plays is quite a lot. Here's how much. Since Mummers' Dance is 6:07 long, that translates to 367 seconds times 100,000 is 36,700,000 seconds or 611666.66 minutes or 10,194.4 hours or 424.77 days or 1.164 years. So, 100,000 air plays is the same as hearing it continuously for 1 year and about 2 months. Of course, I've already played it about 92,000 times at my house alone....
