these things make me pretty upset, let me tell you what repned some weeks ago:
You know that in Brazil people doesn't like Facebook, everyone loves Orkut (I don't like it), anyway, we have a community about Loreena: "Loreena Mckennitt Brasil" (more than 14.000 members ) and one guy said: "I can't download her cds or even buy them abroad!!!" and other guy said: "Oh my friend, I download them for you, and if you pay me R$ 15,00 (something like U$ 8,00) + the price of the cd and the shipping, I will send this to you! I always do it!" (and he doesn't have the originals!)
So I and other man told him that it wasn't legal and those things (we are always trying to make people buy the originals, but seems they will die if they buy something original - some people says: "Is ridiculous you pay for a cd, if you can download it!")... People don't care!!!!!! Loreena's fans don't care!!!! I don't understand!
And yes, I'm also curious about what will you do with this site. Something must be done.

So, what are we going to do about it? Do we ignore it and hope it goes away, or flame his blog, or what?...
Sorry, I'm just curious, it's probably none of my business really. I'm just shocked that anyone would do this. I'd expect is from a Lidsay Lohan fan, but not one of Loreena's!

Lica, I came across that site myself. I'd say that the QR logo on the CDs or/and rear of the albums is the one proof of authenticity. The others are just bootlegs of live performances and '90s radio concerts & interviews. Pictures invented, agreed with you.

There's a Brazilian blog, and I think this guy invented some of the albums that are available for download, i don't understand why he does it , all I know is that he is VERY proud of his blog: http://mummersdance.blogspot.com/
Anyway, I'm never completely sure about the singles...

Right, Jesse, Loreena didn't write them for sure, as some of them are known and sung by our famous vocalists, like in this compilation too, I guess. Such an odd choice though, to assemble these pieces that are not related to Celtic culture or sound at all. Actually, the item is in Moscow. A mystery! Are you thinking about the copyright infringement? It may be.
@ U.Silence: hi, it isn't in the official list of course, but I was curious to ask however. You can find promo releases on the web that are not listed here, so it might have been one of those promotional albums, even if it seemed odd to me.

^Than it's absolutely not an official Loreena's CD piece - and you should always keep an eye on the official CDs/DVDs list on the official website and compare/search for it there.

Well, Loreena certainly didn't write or cover any of those songs on the second CD...I mean, one or two previously unreleased LM recordings which nobody has heard of would be understandable (and exciting!), but eighteen? And in Italian? (no offence intended to Italian people!) Also, I don't think the title "Greatest Hits" is one that Loreena would use - it just isn't her style, is it? I doubt this is legal. Somebody should sue...
