Hello, everybody, this is Loreenya. Starting Wednesday, February 6 (which is this year Ash Wednesday), we have four days left until the Grammys ceremony. Oh boy, I am very excited and nervous at the same time. But at the moment, I am praying for Loreena that she will obtain the Grammy. I hope that God will let her have it, after all the misery she was "crucified" with. May God bless Loreena.
Sincerely, Natalie

Hello, Shan-Lyn. This is Loreenya. Not too long ago, I had an inkling that Ms. McKennitt will eventually win. Well, even though it is a pre-telecast award selection, I can picture what our favourite Canadian songbird would wear if she came: she would be clad in a flowing dark purple dress (not the one she wears in major concert performances such as the long jacket she wore in the "Nights in Alhambra" special) and a sparkly dark blue jacket over it. Her red mane would be a little bit curly and some strands in front on the shoulders. Pretty decent, huh?
Wow, sound great! I'd love to see her wearing that. Speaking of clothes, someone put a link forward in the forum some weeks ago, when she had got another price (juno? I don't remember) and she was wearing the same outfit (a black jacket with some prints on the right side of the chest) that she wore at the meet and greet in London when I got to hug her About the nominations for best contemporary world...I haven't even heard of the other musicians. Loreena will definately win. She's the best! I'm going to make a cake with her name on it that day to celebrate! No idea to send it to her, I guess..? Love Malin
Hi, Malin, the reason I was talking about what Loreena would wear to the Grammys is because I have been considering being a fashion designer. If that is the case, I could be Loreena's personal fashion designer. For example, may I suggest that Ms. McKennitt would wear light blue kimono style dress and some beige highheels with matching pantyhouse if she were to perform for somebody important like the Pope.

Thank you Mark. I will be very surprised if she doesn't win. In what I can deduct from the list of nominees, I see Loreena as a 'sure win'. Just something I sense. She's entitled to the fruits of her labor. Here is the direct link to Category 75: Best Contemporary World Album - Category 75Question now, how nervous will she be. Aye Loreena, go and pick up your award. *Shan-Lyn pushes Loreena towards the stage* Warmly smiling, Shan Hey, Shan-Lyn, well-thought of. I like your line *Shan-Lyn pushes Loreena towards the stage* because I can picture it. Here's my response to your response to your scenario on your post: *"Loreena smiles at Shan-Lyn. She clanks onto the stage with her dark boots. She gets the Grammy into her hands. And...touchdown, McKennitt. She gets the ball and the pass is good. The crowd goes wild!" Then, she makes the acceptance*. Well, at least the nomination would be the "field goal attempt".

I don't think the people on the Grammys committee announce it after the day following the Grammys ceremony. Oh, by the way, sir, will you please tell Ms. McKennitt that Natalie would like to wish her "Good luck" with the Grammys and "May God bless you, Loreena, and may our blessed Lady, benevolent Queen of Canada and the Universe and exquisite Holy Virgin Mary watch over and protect you"?

In past experience, the pre-telecast awards don't usually get any press until late that night or the next day. I'll expect to do some digging to read about it. I remember when Nickel Creek won a Grammy they got a passing mention in the larger scheme of awards. I wouldn't get my hopes up to find any press pictures of Loreena or anything like that - if she does go.
