The town of Morden had commissioned several murals to be painted and installed around the town and Loreena was to be featured in one of them. Not all by herself but with other notable people. I vaguely remembered last weekend was to be the special "unveiling" and a Google search only yields an article or two but no pictures.
It is becoming a habit in Morden, most likely because Loreena hails from Morden itself. In fact, I know that another special portrait was unveiled on the occasion of the gala which took place at the Morden Recreation Centre on April 26, 2003. It was a tribute day to Loreena as the most successful talented artist from Morden! They're beginning to get a collection of Loreena's portraits in Morden! I would make the proposal to fund a museum!, but maybe it sounds a bit bad....that's not a good idea.
