Has Loreena ever sung Leonard Cohen's song Hallalujah? It's a beautiful song. I think it was in the movie Shrek. Sheryl Crow, Jon Bon Jovi did versions of it, but I thing Loreena could top all of them! SmilerAny thoughts?

If it isn't one of her strongest talents, I'd like to know which is!?!
- To Communicate?!
I've never seen a person (maybe besides my father, but he's an aquarian too) who seems not only to be able to communicate with everyone, but also to communicate about everyone and everything. And to be popular as well.

Since I'm so new to LM's music, about 6 weeks, I guess I got ahead of myself and thought any beautiful song would sound great with Loreena's magic touch. Upon further reflection, and reading your much appreciated comments, I don't think it would sound like a Loreena song. Kate, I have heard "Thousand Kisses Deep", what a great song. I agree about LC and LM and their talents as song writters. That would be interesting...I can't imagine Loreena singing it either, but it might be something worth hearing.
Loreena, if you read this, and think it might be a good idea may I suggest Piano and Lyra for your instrumentation? It's the sort of song that needs Piano, and the Lyra would give it that Middle-Eastern flavour that is characteristic of your songs.
Then again, I'm not sure how much Hallelujah has to do with the history of the Celts...

I think, the lyric by both Leonard Cohen and Loreena McKennitt is wizardly, do you heard for example the song “Thousand kisses deep”? It seems to me, they are good friends or at any rate familiars.

Hahaha, funny, I was just sitting and singing Hallelujah to myself XD "I did my best, it wasn't much, I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch..." I love the song :3 But I can't really imagine Loreena singing it. Maybe if she gave it a whole new sound. Or maybe that would be just strange O_o
