Weeeeeeeeeeeee
I just added a new artist to my increasing CD collection. Phamie Gow I got the CD from my Mother. She bought it to me 'cause I couldn't come in to hear her live at Tønder Festival Her music is so simple, although without being so. Amacing. But it doesn't beat the Lady of them all... Ms. Mckennitt.

Well. I listen to danish radio sometimes on the net. (odd or... since I am a dane!) Not quite sure if it is podcasted. But the music in the radio is mostly pop. I feel so lucky to have the music of Loreena McKennitt, because I haven't heard any of her songs so far. But who knows, they might play one some day. Though sometimes it's nice, when someone has made a very good popsong amongst those mediocre ones.

It's so exiting to see what music you all like beside ms. McK.
It surely made me listen to some new music.
Thank you all for sharing!
And do please keep writing if you should bump into something new! I might not be the only one interested in expanding my collection of music.
Sinceriously hugs and thoughts
Anxious 2
What bands I discovered since my last posting in this thread:
Delight Via Mystica Draconian Visions of Atlantis Stream of Passion Lunatica Lucie Silvas Mylene Farmer PJ Harvey Siouxie and the Banshees Qntal Rasputina (through Dawn and Drew Show podcast)

If you don't know what podcasts are - it's like Internet radio, only distributed using RSS channels (or RSS reader, like iTunes), so you can download them and listen at your leisure later or from your portable mp3 player, like Apple iPod. There are millions of podcasts out there, so it's hard to find good ones. Dawn and Drew Show is one of those cult podcasts - they started when it started and it looks like are going to continue until the end of days, lots of not always very clean tasty humor, milk and kisses emitted nocturnally from a small farm in Wisconsin, USA.

She is a great singer who focuses on pagan/women's spirituality! I'll post a link to a video of a song by her. She rather reminds me of Loreena quite a bit in her vocal tone, although lets be honest our celtic queen miss Loreena McKennitt is unmatched!
Acchi Mantra (chant)
Song to Inanna

would you like to explain to all us ignorant people who Lisa is?
Greeting LMfan!!!
Lisa Theil is a singer/song writer of the Wise Woman Tradition, yet she expands her songs and chants to Celtic and goddess of Asia, for example Quan Yin, the goddess of compassion. She writes simple yet profouned songs that are directed directly to a goddess or the elements. Her chants are powerful and she rarely sings them when in concert, only in a circle, because they do bring up that intent and the faeries love her songs. With "Acchi Mantra" I love singing that song as the ocean waves roll over my legs. I love the "Song to Inanna" is empowering. I sing I" Am the Elements" as it connects all the elements and the earth, tress, wind, fire to me and I am as one with all there is on the earth. Just like Loreena researches her songs, so does Lisa and she lives as one with the earth and she understands the ebb and flow of life. LMfan you said it best Loreena is the Celtic Queen is unmatched. Love, peace, and faeries, Gina
