I've been a member of the Helen Mirren Appreciation Society (HMAS) for a while now, and earlier this week, someone made a topic of our Loreena, saying she could be a younger sister of Helen Mirren. As a result, more topics emerged, like "What do you think?" and as I opened that, they mainly referred to Loreena. And so on... Yep, for two or three days, several fellow Mirreners - mostly from the US and in one case a young girl from Quebec who just got to know Loreena's music and met Loreena recently at a meet-and-greet - REALLY put a smile on my face... One fellow Mirrener from Nashville, Tennessee, is going to buy me an apparently rare sample CD from an (American?) bookstore called Borders and send it to me. Mind you, I told him about Loreena's upcoming concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on April 27th, but he said he was going to another concert.
Have a most WONDERFUL time everyone...!
Sending you warmth, Nathalie

You know what's funny? When I saw the headline I immidiately thought this must be about the likeness between Helen Mirren and Loreena Mckennitt.
All you mirreners (Helen Mirren fans) must know what I'm thinking when I say Painted Lady. Has anyone seen it? Well you should. Besides being a fabulous story with fabulous acting, it is astonishing how like she is to Ms. McK. Or is it the other way?!

Seeing LM "up close & personal" for the first time last night on PBS, my first thought was that she resembled this wonderful actress as well! I also just got done telling my cousin, who was unable to watch the show, this exact thing so it's so funny to come here and read these posts! Thank you fellow message boarders for letting me know that my thought was not just the product of my overactive imagination!

I think you wanted to say "someone made a topic of our Loreena, saying she could be a younger sister of Hellen Mirren" because Helen Mirren has about 10 years more than Loreena...
(it's very weird to see this message now because I just watched "Elisabeth 1st" and I was on the point to watch "Cal")
