Hello everyone,
long time no see. :-) I was a little surprised to come back here and not finding anything posts about
the summer newsletter here, so I thought I'd make a start and share my thoughts.
I must admit that I wasn't really
aware of the fact that so many projects are accomplished within the last five years. Well, I was only introduced to Loreena's
music about a year ago and I always felt that there wasn't really anything "new new".

I never came to realize that she and her musicians and QR staff completed
4 audio projects, 2 video projects and 5 tours! Wow. Hat off. Chapeau. I really hope that you've had the time now to recharge
your batteries.
The "next musical project" of course raises curiosity. I'm going to keep my eyes open - one can never
be quite sure where Loreena's research will take her. It would be so cool to bump into her in the street... although I doubt
that the area where I lived provides enough fuel for the eclectric Celtic vehicle.

Business recognition for Loreena
Congratulations! Loreena once
said in an interview that the road has been her university. I'm glad that this kind of education is appreciated and honoured
by more conventional institutions of education!
Lives lost, lives remembered
I'm not going to comment
on that because I don't approve of the fact that Loreena is member of an organziation whose aim is (among others) to kill
and die (even though "her" squadron is "only" a search and rescue one). I am always against military. But well, her choice.
And I am sorry that these 10 Canadian Forces members had to die (unnessesarily).
What I missed
not only in the
newsletter, but in general, was an update in the "The View from Here" series. Sure, you've all been busy, still it would be
nice every now and then to read your personal view on what has happened to you. And it's a bit funny to have "The View From
Here" sorted into volumes and issues when there are only 7 in 6 years.

Cheers and enjoy your summer (or winter in the southern hemisphere),
Anni
