Finally I can relax a bit again...

You poeple really know how to keep a traveller busy when she comes home from a vacation.

But I'm up to date at last. (it took me approx 4 days Razzer )

As some of you might know, I went to Amsterdam to enter the Tenth World Harp Congress.
I'm amaced how many different harps there are in this world.
One even had made a harp of the chassi of a VW beetle. I really looked forward to see this.
But the night before the show I tripped on a tram railtrack and hurt my foot. So the next morning I spent at the casualty figuring out it was sprained. Frowner and missed the show, as did my harpteacher (she followed me to the hospital).
So the rest ot that week I limped around in the streets of Amsterdam, heard a few more concerts and while the others where at concerts, because they could get there in time, I refused to sit and wait at the hotel. I went around in Amsterdam and draw a few pictures of places in the city.
At the flight home there wasn't many clouds and you could see the lands beneath.
I became like a child, because I was so facinated to see earth from above. To be able to see the cost from Holland and up, and to recognize the islands of Denmark... Smiler I was so exited that one of the other girls was so kind to swich seat with me so I got a better view. And a while later she asked me to sit still!! Big Grin hmm...

It was a nice trip.
(my foot is still hurting a small bit though)

I'm terrible at chinese geography... Razzer

Well, they say the Olympic Games this year have been good to Denmark.
2 gold, 0 silver, 6 bronze
Last time we wun so many medals was in 1968, they say...
Honestly I don't really care that much.
But we will probably be remembered for borrowing and sayling the croatian 49 !! Big Grin

I have tried to figure out what HEAPS means:
Holy Earth Apple Pie Slices
or
Happy Enimies Among People Smiling
or maybe
Hands Everywhere Applousing Probably Something

Please stop me, I'm going berserk... Red Face

Some more hugs...
Hug
Hug, hug

Anxious

It was HEAPS of fun! Big Grin
I gave the aussie athletes as much support as I could... which wasn't very much, as we were very busy, and as I said, I was mostly in Chengdu, which is in southeast china, and Beijing is in the north. there were some others who were running a festival in Beijing however, and they got to see a handball game (Denmark vs Russia, I think...you'll be pleased to know they were going for Denmark!...although that may just be because Princess Mary is an Aussie! Wink).
the final medal count for Australia was 14 Gold, 15 Silver & 17 Bronze. do you know the medal count for Denmark?

Thanx for the virtual hugs!! I LOVE HUGS!!! Big Grin

Luv Jesse

Unfortunately the favourite singer I think you're refering to (ms. McKennitt) wasn't there. She was performing in Spain... Frowner
