Loreena McKennitt, live in concert in Amsterdam, 30 June 2008.

“There is more to bind us, than to tear us apart”

In a crowded, sold out, Royal Theatre Carré, Amsterdam, I felt that one of the meanings of this expression of Ms McKennitt, was realty for a couple of hours.
I was touched and moved by the impact of her voice and performance and the musicians in this life concert. Many times my arms were like goose-flesh.
She gave an explanation of the intruments from East and West. In here “small”voice with laughter, Ms McKennitt shared her thoughts about for example, what is home and what is identity for people in this world. And last but not least she jumped as an Highlander! It was the first time to hear and see Ms McKennitt life!
In the theatre there was an atmosphere of laughter and feeling good, certainly after the request of Ms McKennitt to stop taking fotographs. In a joke she propossed the audience to have one special picture of her. In hér way of performing, this picture was certainly the best!
Fortunately the annoying behaviour of some ones was gone now and in the same time, the atmosphere between audience and Ms McKennitt was transformed in a warm connection.
The reactions of the audience after the many beautiful and inspiring songs and the virtuoso playing musicians were overwelming. It was a feast! As in the words of Ms McKennitt, I felt invited to the the table where we shared all kind of “bread” together.
With “I see you soon” and with a hand kiss she left the stage.

“NEVER-ENDING ROAD” (AMHRÁN DUIT)
Now my head is still in clouds by this wonderful life concert. In time this feeling will be settled and bring my head back to earth and daily life. What stays is the rememberence of this beautiful life concert on a summer-like evening in June. I am able to awaken that from time to time. The journey goes on for each of us.
In the flyer of this concert I read, a new recording “A Midwinter Night’s Dream” will be available in November of this year!.
And if you are going to a date on this European tour of 2008 enjoy it, like I did!

You have the net running, although not in a easy way as you wrote. I thought if you like to make Loreena McKennitt's live concert through Europe,enjoy the possibility of Wikipedia and Google. There are seen historically very interesting places on her tour. For instance Santiago de Compostella in North West of Spain.
Traveling in mind is another way of seeing and undergoing things and it is a very good alternative for each of us.

Thanks Sia!!! I will surf the 'net, listen to Loreena, and imagine standing in the front row in total awe!!! You're suggestions are helpful to me. When I travel in my mind, I have to stay grounded or I fly into trees(hehehe) or have a hard time returning to earth and I'd be dizzy for a long time. Now I am off to La-La Land as Raglang Road is playing in my head!!!
