Loreena will take part in the second annual Air Force Run being
held in Winnipeg at 17 Wing on Sunday (May 30). Hundreds of civilian and military runners are expected to take part.
An
enthusiastic runner, Loreena is Honorary Colonel of 435 Squadron based at the Wing.
The event is held to benefit two non-profit organizations,
the Military Family Fund and Soldier On.
At
9.00 AM, prior to the start of the half marathon, Loreena will be singing the National Anthem, accompanied by the Air Command
band.
The run will cross the Wing tarmac, where a number of Canadian Forces aircraft will be on display. A family BBQ
and a wide range of family and children's activities will be part of the event's activities.
For those interested in
participating you may register on site from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM May 28 and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM May 29. There will be NO race-day
registration. For more information, visit www.airforcerun.ca.
The only news I saw was this, and it's just a comment: here
What you may not know is that other additions had to be cut due to the weather. A family
day Village with Fireman's Challenge - and the full Air Command Band with Loreena McKennitt singing the Anthem to mention
just a few.
...i realy would to see she singing

Same here! I'm better at short, quick spurts than long distance
running! But also, remember that's how she trains before a performance.
