Hi folks,

Hope you won't mind the cross-posting (I sent this to the Old Ways earlier today).

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know a few things about the
new recording on behalf of Loreena and my colleagues.

First of all, the bonus track ("Raglan Road") that is included on the
Barnes & Noble version of "An Ancient Muse" is presently exclusive to
that package - that is, the only version of "An Ancient Muse" that will
include this extra song is the B&N version.

However, there will be opportunities in future for people to obtain this bonus
track in ways other than buying the Barnes & Noble package -
opportunities that may be more convenient for people who are not in the
United States.

We will keep you informed of those opportunities as they develop.

Additionally, some of you have been suggesting that people who do not
live in the United States will need to order "An Ancient Muse" from a US
retailer (for example Barnes & Noble, Amazon.com etc) in order to get
the cheapest price.

Of course there are variations in CD pricing from country to country and
retailer to retailer, and many people have noted in the past that
sometimes US prices appear cheaper (before you factor in the exchange
rate and shipping costs).

We of course don't want to tell you where you should buy your CD -
whether it's directly from the QR site (pre-order opportunities should be
available in the next few days), one of the many local independent record
shops or bookshops who have been so supportive of Loreena for so many
years, a bigger music retailer or other outlet such as a department store, a
digital download provider or an online distributor of physical CDs. Wherever
you choose to buy it, we hope you will enjoy what you hear.

We just wanted to reassure you that people in (for example) the UK,
Germany, France and so on will be able to purchase "An Ancient Muse"
from their local retailer of choice at a good price - probably at least
as cheap as buying it from the United States and having it shipped to
you. For example, you can presently pre-order "An Ancient Muse" from
Amazon.co.uk for £8.99.

I'd suggest that you check with your favourite online retailer in your
country, if you are looking to order in advance, or with your favourite
"bricks and mortar" shop at the time of release.

We shortly expect to send an e-mail to everyone in the QR Community
informing them of pre-order opportunities specific to their countries.

Finally we know there is a lot of stuff you are interested to know more
about regarding the new recording and we are all working long hours to get
everything done, translations prepared AND get that information to you.

cheers
Karen

My friend Beth moved to Scotland and I told her to buy it Nov. 20th to give me full details of the album and a heads up before I can purchase it the next day. I am still counting down the days...

I pre-ordered two copies of the B&N version too, one as a gift for my boyfriend, who is also a HUGE lover of Loreena's music Razzer

I just have found the B&N version on CDUniverse. Isn't the B&N version exclusive for B&N stores? So why does CDUniverse get it too?? Confused

Here's the link on CDUniverse:

I ordered mine from the local Barnes and Noble brick and mortar store just down the road from me. They had two versions available. The regular one and the B & N exclusive. I specifically ordered the exclusive to get the bonus track. They told just to come into the store on the afternoon of the 21st and it would be there waiting for me. The prices is $18.99 plus tax, but if I can have it right away, no shipping charges, blah, blah, blah.... I don't mind paying a couple of extra bucks....so I went ahead and ordered it.

So I hope Quinlan Road will make sure it gets to the B & N store in Mentor Ohio promptly !!!! Big Grin
