For the first time in my life -I absolutely don't remember to have done this when I was a child- I wrote my letter to Santa Claus. What age I was has no matter because, you know, as far as I remember, I was always old ...
I asked him simple things as nice books, CD, DVD, things more "immaterial" like to be better the fallowing year and to be able to help those who needed, and I also asked, as we do all, too big things to be realized like peace on earth, freedom for all and... a special thing absolutely impossible to make come true. Something which could be compared to "meet prince charming" or "win 1.000.000.000 francs" (it was not euros yet ) worthy of a fairy tale. A thing that I will keep for me if you don't mind, but, I swear I wrote down in this letter.
Today I couldn't say how was the paper and what looked like the mail. I don't remember neither if I signed with my full name and what I exactly wrote as address on the envelop... I think I just did all this to find some magic in my life before Christmas... Because when the magic doesn't come to you, you have to go to it. Specially in this world where people less believe than before and where magic became a rare precious thing... So I did.
I posted my letter to Santa Claus two weeks before Christmas, not really expecting more than receiving from my family some of the "material things" I asked. Just happy and thankful for what already brought me the fact to write and send this letter.
Than I continued to live my life... I still went to work every day and did a lot of shopping to prepare all and be ready for the 24th. During this day, before the traditional dinner with my mother, I went for a big walk with a foreign friend to see the beautiful little lights of Christmas in the nicer streets of Paris. We watched the decorated windows' shops, dreaming of what we could have if we had more money or a bigger flat, taking time to drink something in a "hype bar" we always wanted to go, and than... I saw it. On the other side of the street, in that Christmas evening, was my impossible, unreal and magical present. I recognized it at first glance and I immediately new it was for me... Exactly what I "asked" -or should I say only "wrote", such I didn't believe it could be given.
I told my friend to wait 5 minutes, keeping for me what was happening, and I crossed the street to see this Christmas's miracle closer and to assure myself that it was not a dream.
But it was real, real and amazing as all the children movies we have on TV during theses days. As incredible it can be, I had what I asked to Santa Claus in front of me for Christmas night...
That's why, since this Christmas, and much more than before, I really do believe in all what this world can counts of magic, from the spirit of Christmas to our beautiful irish faeries, including the strength of all the trees of our forest and... leprechauns ...
Of course, leaving a miracle like this one is a blessing but it has something hard: all the fallowing Christmas are a little bit "insipid" and it's a big work to find magic in harts and lights to get closer to the level of such a miracle. But I try...
So I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and you will have one day, a miracle like this, because I swear, on all that I cherish on earth and in heaven, that all I wrote here is true. You just need to hope and to stay attentive. And most of all, always believe ...
I never told this to anyone, keeping all like a secret treasure during these last years, so do the same or... if you talk about it, forget my name, forget the town and forget the country. Just nourish the rumor that miracles can still happen in Christmas times...

Thank you for sharing that inspiring story with us, I think that nowadays magic is disappearing from our lives in this so, so materialistic modern world, which in my opinion is a big error. Take care and happy new year!
