Has anyone heard this beautiful song? It appears to be the inspiration behind Loreena's song Santiago! Smiler The song is from the Cantigas De Santa Maria which is a medieval codex with music in honor of the Virgin Mary. It's so intriguing to me that Loreena chose this specific song and arranged it in such a wonderful way! Smiler

here's a clip from youtube of the song, it's very long!

Thank you for sharing!
I know that Medieval Code and other codes such as "Llibre Vermell de Montserrat", "Carmina Burana"(this is the most famous) "Laudario di Cortona" and music for medieval dances. The Cantigas is very beautiful but I prefer the Llibre Vermell: in my opinion it is the most beautiful and interesting code as music and as singing. The pilgrims sang this songs when they went to Santiago de Compostela.
For me it is intriguing too that Loreena composes her music with these influences. Thanks to her a wonderful world of history and stories opens its arms to me.
And so many wonderful journeys begin across the time and the space.
God bless you, Loreena!
