Tomorrow, December 8, is the first anniversary of Loreena's investiture as Honarary Colonel of the 435th Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force. So I encourage you to write a thing or two to our beloved singing Colonel McKennitt, wishing her a happy anniversary and/or add anything special you would like to say to her. So here's mine:

Ms. McKennitt, I thank God every day that you are with us. You are a kind and caring woman. You are like a "father" (even though you are a woman) to us. May this honour bestowed upon you remind you of your courage in overcoming your life's difficulties and other obstacles you may face and also your love for others. May God bless you.

Dear Loreena, happy anniversary!
I see you before me everyday not just as a beloved musician and singer who has filled my life with so much happiness, but also as a leading star that shows that we can do things to give our lifes a meaning and a sence, we can overcome life's obstacles and still stand strong. As you say, we will rise above all earthly cares. Thank you for being you.
