- traditional well-known English song, - arranged and performed by "Luar na Lubre" (Galician, north Spain, band), - with an Andalusian (south Spain) singer, Diana Navarro:
True it is late to be up, for this Rocky Mountain person, but I saw the reference to "Scarborough Fair" and was off to explore. ---Have spent the evening immersed in the music and ideas of "Luar Na Lubre" (Moonlite of Magical Forest ???) and in translating Galician with bablefish and such and watching You Tubes of beautiful places like Galacia and of where Celtic symbols in stone are found and followed a new bit of history, even.
Again, my world has been expanded because I was here,-- Thanks all.
"Canto De Andar": my best song of these folks,--the message is so strong. I like the Galacian video and also this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONtlhxT4JH0 --very amazing pictures here, perhaps more because I feel privileged that a few are familiar. It's like being there again because these photos play the shimmer and light and color like my eye does on a happy day.
"And the sun goes silent, delighting in the sea, Making us small with so much immensity." (translation of last lines of "Canto De Andar" (I think)
Goodnite to you on this side of the world who are already asleep and good morning to Galacia and everyone else. jo

Thanks for sharing Scarborough Fair!!! I was reading an article about the song having 3 out of the 4 being in the mint family. Rosemary, sage, and thyme are all in the mint family and are very benefitial to our health. Sorry if it's a bit off subject, just the song reminded me of the article by Susan S. Weed. Bright Blessings, G

Thank you for sharing that.
I would completely agree on that. It sounded very well (and I immediately went to listen to Sarah Brightman's version as well - it's really superb again). Thank you very much for posting it over here as well.

Well, as far as I know she is not a dancer. She usually sings with "this" flamenco style, moving her arms and hands as flamenco dancers, but she is not really dancing flamenco.
Thank you for your answers.

It is a wonderful mix. They both sound beautiful together. Diana Navarro has a lovely and strong voice. I wonder if she dances flamenco? But very nice, thank you for sharing this./COLOR]
