The Ancient Pines are considered as the oldest living organisms on Earth (although dead-like).

Many of the Bristlecone Pines started as seedlings when the Great Pyramids of Egypt were being built. They only grow in six states of the Western USA, and the oldest of them are in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest of the White Mountains of California. They grow at high altitudes, between 10,000 and 11,000 feet.

The average age of these trees is 1,000 years old. But there are a few still living that have been around for over 4,000 years. The "Methuselah" tree is somewhere in this grove at the White Mountains, and is over 4,767 years old !

Loreena with her majestic voice sings for these trees in a unique way. Its like listening what these trees try to naratte to us of what they have been witnessing of, through time.

I collected some of the most haunting pictures about these pines...Most are taken from the White Mountains of California. I created a wonderfull video with Loreena's ode to them.
Here it is :

It is one of my favorites! So wonderful! Thank you so much for the information! This is going to be a great year!
I love trees, any kind of tree: Bonny Portmore makes me sad as I look up at the mountainside to see the clear cuts. It cuts more the just the trees...

Love, peace, and joy,
Gina
