I was at the Toronto "Union Station" to catch a train back home(the same train that goes to Stratford) when I noticed a woman
who looked VERY MUCH like Loreena McKennitt sitting some distance away, talking with a very old lady who was using a walker.
I wasn't sure it was her until she got up to "pre-board" the train with the old lady (who was probably her MOTHER), and I
got a GOOD LOOK at her! I didn't really want to pester her, but on the other hand, I might NEVER get such an opportunity again!
So I took my chances, walked up to her and said "Are you Loreena McKennitt?" and she said"Yes, I am!" 'I stuck my hand out
and said "I've ALWAYS wanted to meet you; I'm a BIG FAN!" She shook my hand very agreeably, and my partner also got to shake
her hand, and piped up with the info that he had been at the very monastery at the same time she had been there many years
previously when she was visiting (and subsequently wrote the song about it on "Mask and Mirror the name of that song escapes
me at the moment, but it's the one right AFTER "Mask and Mirror") It was VERY nice of her to be so polite to two fans who
were "holding her up"; I'm glad I "took the chance"!

Aww - this is such a wonderful tale and as someone else already stated above, this is ONE of the principal reasons why we
do appreciate so much Loreena Mckennitt's music - and person. Your story is still so very amazing and I am glad you caught
your all courage and went to Loreena to talk to her - I am sure for her this was also an appreciated surprise and I know how
it feels how to meet a person who has always been your most principal source of inspiration and you've always admired it as
I also had this unique opportunities to met Sharon Janny Den Adel (Within Temptation's singer) in person and those are the
most special moments I shall always remember them in my life's journey.
Unfortunately, I haven't really meet Loreena
Mckennitt in person before - we've been to the same country, Hungary, at a more or less similar period but I do truly believe
my dream will become a reality one day. I can't wait to read more similar dreams becoming tore ality stories.

It's nice to be able to meet the people who inspire you, and especially to thank them for that inspiration. They are words
that are spoken often, but, when from the heart, those two words - thank you - really say it all.

I always start to babble when I meet or talk with someone famous. Boy did I make a fool of myself when I talked to Simon
Le Bon...I just wouldn't shut up.
Your judgement was good and I am so happy for you. If you never said anything,
you'd go through life asking yourself "why didn't I....!
