On all of the album covers, booklets, and here on the site, I always notice that Loreena wears the most exquisite outfits. I have a great love for historical clothing, and I always keep my eye out for things like this. Not necessarily historical, but definitely not made for this common day and age....
Anyone else?

I think you may be taking this the wrong way...Of all of the more public personalities, though I'm not one to speak for all of us, she has THE best sense of style! (then again, I may be taking your comment the wrong way...if I am, forgive me! )

They're indeed very Loreena Mckennitt-ish looking and needless to still say wonderful. And the following website also have the jewerly section maintained to a similar high point of wonderfullness as well as clothes - thanks for posting it! And as another colleague of us mentioned below about the long coats of Loreena Mckennitt - I think they absolutely embrace the visual image of Loreena's beautiful music's palace. And one of the best examples confirming all my expressed words above is the official cover of The Visit album by far.

I'm a bit curvy so I love a style that just drapes those curvies, and highlights the rest

A few munites ago, I was looking for some easy sewing patterns (I can find very little that fits me in the right places and in a material that doesn't irritate my skin; and besides, why buy when you can make what you want for less?! ) and I found this pattern...does the model look familiar? Blouse pattern
I've a funny little story on this topic. Awhile back I was shopping with my extremely fashion conscious, thoroughly loves to shop, 14 year old daughter. As usual, I was trying to do two things at once so I was asking her advice on various outfits that my very opposite, hates to shop, much more interested in everything but fashion, 20 year old daughter would like. I was totally striking out. Finally in desperation I asked "Does something possibly exist that your sister would wear that you wouldn't think would look hideous on her???
After only a moments hesitation she answered "Where can you buy Loreena McKennitt-ish type clothes!

I love Loreena's clothes as well. I love that long caramel brown frock she wears. Some of her clothes remind me a little of Victorian or Medieval. Just a bit. I love long flowing garments that flap in the wind when you walk.

On the subject of Loreena's clothes; it's another reason I love watching "A Moveable Musical Feast". To see her in everyday clothes, sweats and a T-shirt was reassuring me that she is a normal person. I have a very hard time believing that she is just that. A real person when she does such wonderous things with her music and voice, even her work ethics. She is not typical, neither is her clothes when she performs, so seeing her with plain clothes was a treat for me. Walk in Beauty, G

In a way, I have to disagree with some...Her outfits are an awesome blend of vintage and modern! I wish I could get away with some of the styles she's had!

And indeed: the fact that men should wear pants is just a western ideal, Indonesian men wear beautiful coloured long sarongs, and in the west we have scottish men being very cool and strong, in Kilts! And guess what? all the women are wearing pants! HAHAHAHA! Nah seriously, If a guy wants to waer a skirt, go ahead! If you got the legs for it...
Don't forget that Catholic priests wear the frock, also. They be stylin', wearin' that dress-lookin' thing! Seriously, if Keanu reeves can pull off wearing a frock coat with trousers, just about any fit-n-trim man can.
