We’ve noticed the concerns expressed here on the MessageBoard and assure you that we appreciate your feedback and we’re considering all notes and recommendations for the next chat opportunity.
Due to the technical richness of this video chat, it resulted in varying qualities and experiences for each user. A number of considerations would play part in how each person received the event. Speed and connectivity of your internet account, the volume of traffic your internet service provider was experiencing at the time, the efficiency or speed of your computer including software (Web browser version, Flash plugin) and hardware (Processor, RAM Memory, Video Card). We apologize for not making you aware of this, prior to the chat.
Unfortunately we did not have an opportunity to answer everyone’s questions, but I hope the experience was enjoyed nonetheless.
We are looking to procure a copy of the video stream to either post for viewing, or to transcribe into a text format. If and when this happens we will be sure to make note of that event here in the MessageBoard.
Again, thank you all for joining us and hopefully with your feedback, we can resolve and correct all of these issues before our next chat event.
We did not record it and we are having some difficulty procuring a copy from uStream. Apparently they do not make a recording for archive unless requested by the client and we neglected to make this request. Sorry.

Hi Mark, I wasn't able to get on the chat. I was sure it had to be my computer. Thanks for explaining it. I hope everyone had a good time and I'll try again next time. ~Kate

What wonderful news, Mark! Posting either a copy of the streaming video or a text transcription of the chat would be highly welcome. Here's hoping that one (or both!) can indeed take place!

I have already expressed my opinion about this video chat in other threads, but I try to repeat here. Fortunately I joined the chat at the exact time thanks to you, Mark, who specified 'five hours back' instead of six as I believed. Once the chat page with two chat windows opened, I coudn't realize how it worked. In the right window there were about 80 people chatting with each other, I suppose, while in the left window there was Loreena speaking, no room for typing questions and over 300 viewers. I haven't yet understood if there was a link between the two windows, but according to other friends here it seems so. There were no instructions, I could just go on trying to click here and there, by hoping not to lose the chat page. I wrote my question in the left window a couple of times and maybe it has never been sent or so. To make a long story short, my concern depends on my inability to figure out how it worked, because of lack of instructions. In this regard, however, I just wanted to point out that, although last year I didn't read any instructions, the layout was easier and clearer and any kind of support was not needed. The last thing: the audio was not so bad, as I caught enough, and when I didn't, I wasn't able to understand because I am not a native English speaker. The image stopped twice a few seconds though, but I imagine due to my laptop. Anyway, thanks for this live chat that was actually very appreciated despite all. Till the next!
