Hi all, I recently attended the Vancouver, BC show and noticed people gathering under a sign titled "After Show". These people already had their names on a list and special passes. Does anyone have any idea how to get these?? I would seriously fly across the country to have the opportunity to meet her if I could get tickets to one of these shows.
I guess we were just lucky (magic happens!) in CO Springs, because Loreena stopped by our table at breakfast in the hotel the next morning (thanks to my husband's quick eye and action) and chatted about the performance the night before. We met a couple of the band members and even got her to sign the program! what a gracious lady...what an incredible voice...what a great old soul.
PS.....do you, or anyone else reading, have any idea if she may do a second tour of Canada? I have heard this rumoured and have been crossing my fingers since she did end up doing 2 tours of the states. I'll keep crossing my fingers for that.
Well... it was her second tour in Canada ... *see here*. But... she is Canadien, so you have more chance to see her again than us...

Ah, gotcha. Well that would explain a somewhat frantic woman weaving through the ailes and hugging people, then seeing that same woman calling out the names of people for the After Show. However, I did see the guy sitting next to me standing there with a pass and I don't think he was a relative, but who knows. Kicking myself now for not just going up to him and asking.
As for the show, well, having never been to the Orpheum, I can't speak much for comparision; but, I can say that the venue was not the best in the world. I was completely bummed to see that the "good seats" I paid for at the Orpheum were not nearly as good in the new venue. And many around me complained of the same thing. Acoustically, not spectacular, but not bad either. The musicians did not really seem tired, but I doubt I would have any idea if they were because I was too jazzed up by the show and having to opportunity to see her.
Thanks for your response!

Well, I think it's generally relatives of Loreena or of the musiciens (something like that) but not something you can "subscribe".
It depends on the concert: sometimes she comes to meet people "outside" and sometimes she meet only the people with a pass (well, it was like this in Europe, I don't know for US and Canada)...
And what about the Vancouver concert: was it ok ? because the venue has been changed some days before. And how was Loreena and all the team? Not too tired? because it was the last concert in Canada after the 1st part of the tour and before a small break (it's perhaps also because of this that you needed a pass: it may be more "quiet" for her to have a limited number of people. I don't know...)
