While one of my trips on web, I came across the Western Canadian Music Awards site where the top article dated June 23, 2009 announced Loreena as keynote speaker in the next edition: "The WCMA is proud and honoured to announce [...]Loreena McKennitt will be the keynote interview at this year's WCMA Awards Brunch on Saturday Sept. 19.
The brunch is only open to our delegates...."
It sounds good for her; anyway I don't know this event...can anyone tell me a hint about it? What will she have to do that day? I just know that the conference will be held in Brandon, Manitoba, this year.

Well actually as a German (even if I'm only 20 years old) I am a bit cautious about all sorts of national pride. For example, you'd never get a statement like "This or that country is the greatest", as someone was quoted in that article posted before. There are great features about every country, but undoubtedly each country has its fauls as well.
However, congratulations to Loreena for her award.
Has anyone found out more about that Western Canadian Music Award?
One of the things I really like about Canada that is quite apparent is a very strong national identity among Canadians, a genuine pride that's noticeable just about every where you go. Loreena has it. It's kind of refreshing really. No doubt that Bronze Star means an awful lot...
