The best part about going there that week was that I met a warm, charming and totally delightful Canadian girl from some small town in Manitoba who's really good at playing the harp. I'm especially glad this performance is available, not only because I was there, but because it's sort of a pipe dream of mine to be able to sit in with that band. The past few nights I've been on the guitar and bass working through the songs. They're consummate professionals and I'm just a front porch hacker (music isn't my day job), but it's such a gas playing along with such superlative musicians (John Pilatzke...that guy can play!), and not get yelled at when I screw it up...
