Anyway, to meet her, to talk to her, to look in her eyes is really delightful. Have you got DVD “Nights From The Alhambra”? The concerts on Loreena`s tour were like this one. Waiting for the next tour, we can enjoy this recording. Hmm… the meaning of Pope John Paul II for Poland ( and for Europe and the world) is a great and very wide subject. I was the witness of how He changed 300 thousand people in 2 hours . It was in Warsaw on Victoria Square, on June 1979 during the Mass which was celebrated on the Descent of Holy Spirit. Before it we were weak and disintegrated, after it – strong and united. In a few days He changed all the nation. It was clear: communism has to fall down soon. Many things have changed since June 1979. There was neither the Iron Curtain nor the wall in Berlin…I could be in this city on the Loreena`s concert… without passport…just got on the train… Saluto cordialmente
Jolanta,i like your description of loreena, especially when you mentioned your husband who had run to her and had opened the door of her car ...a real gentleman Since i didn't attend any loreena's tour dates i haven't had the chance to buy nights from the alhambra..you know...this dvd isn't on sell yet,it will be released on fall worldwide;you have a pre-release since you went to see her on tour.Anyway,i watched some clips of the concert on you tube..marvellous..very well done, she melts perfectly with her band, enjoys the show and entertains the audience..it's relevant how she manages to play three different instruments, one by one, with confidence and her voice is crystalline and powerful as ever. i'll surely buy it as soon as it will come out. for the moment i delight myself with No journey's end..really interesting and moving. so you are a witness of history..great moment you lived..in italy we're not accostumed to these kind of experiences anymore. Bye Bye Un abbraccio!

Yes, I did ( to be precise: she grabbed my hand ) Our favourite artist was very open to her fans, talked to people who were waiting for her, signed autographs with dedications ( I received: To Yolanta LM ) and was very patient and understanding: young man in front of me received about 15 autographs with her charming smile ( as you can see – I was patient too ). Ms McKennitt respects her fans. If you click on my name you can read my short report from this concert and this meeting. Gianni, don`t worry, I think we will listen to her “live” soon. Paris is the place where Loreena would like to sing once again ( in my opinion ). During the last tour there was some trouble with sound. It was very emotional experience for Loreena. I think, she would like to sing for wonderful parisien audience in the hall with good acoustics. Maybe not only for that audience… . You described Warszawa and Krakow very accurately. Your kind words about John Paul II made me feel very pleasant . Thank you!
Hello Jolanta! I read your report about the concert in Berlin..What a great night you had ..you know ..meeting your true loved artist must be unforgettable, especially if the one is a person so humble-hearted and warm like Loreena;you described her as a Mamma (the italian word for mum).Anyway I'll try to meet her at a future italian concert, hoping it'll come soon,or maybe at a meet&greet event in Rome or wherever else ..i think meeting her is an experience stronger than that of a concert. i don't know if she's going to tour paris in the near future or some other european cities,i don't think so for the moment but it would be great..in italy she did 4 gigs last march,it's so much So i see you're a religious person too..well i'm pleased..you know.. Poland is a very catholic country as well as Italy and Pope John Paul II was very bound to his homeland He did a lot to set Poland free from the communist regime just speaking to the consciences of polish and had done as well his best to free his people from nazi occupation so what a great man!
