| Ah Betty, se ti può aiutare, Warren ti stava chiedendo se i biglietti del concerto di Atene vengono spediti oppure devono essere ritirati direttamente al box office, perché dal sito non riesce a capirlo. Hi Warren, I have told Betty in Italian what you asked her in your previous post, as she maybe didn't understand it well. She may help you with the tickets! Bye bye and good concert! | | | | Posts: 562 | Location: italy | Registered: November 01, 2007 |

Allora in bocca al lupo. Per Cipro non hanno ancora deciso niente, hai visto? Senti, metto la mia mail nel profilo così mi racconti dei concerti in dettaglio, ok. A presto. About Cyprus, still nothing. I will write my email address in my profile, so that you can tell me everthing of the concerts, right? Till soon. | | | | Posts: 562 | Location: italy | Registered: November 01, 2007 |

| Hi Warren, I have the same problem in that I haven’t been able to locate the venue on a detailed map of Athens clearly showing the location and its surroundings. So far I’ve managed to find that the theatre is located in the Vyronas district in the south-east of Athens, and there don’t seem to be any hotels in its vicinity (or at least none available that I've managed to find). So I for one will keep my initial reservation (relatively close to the Lycabettus hill and Omonoia, which has easy access to public transportation both for Athens and for Patras and Thessaloniki) and, subject to different information from more official sources, I will probably rely on the following directions which a Greek concertgoer gave on an another artist’s website earlier this April. He/she doesn’t specify how long the bus ride would take from Syntagma or Omonoia to the venue, but according to viamichelin it's more or less 6 or 7 km.. “Here's how to get to the Theater (Θέατρο Βράχων in Greek) from the center of Athens (it is located in the Vyronas area): From Syntagma Square (simplest if you come *directly* from the airport on bus X95): Take Trolley 11 or Bus 732, 203, or 204 From Peiaias City (Karaiskaki Square), or the metro stops of Faliro, Mosxato, or Kallithea: Bus 232 From the Evaggelismos or Panepistimio metro stops: Bus 203 or 204 The stop for all of these buses/trolley that you want to get off at is called "Terma Neas Elvetias" (you can tell that to the driver to tell you when to get off). (Metro runs on Friday and Saturday nights until 2am and until midnight on Sunday nights. Trolley #11 runs all night.) Most likely you will want to stay in the Syntagma area, and take the bus from Syntagma Square, as that is the tourist center of the city and close to a lot of the sites Incidentally it's a very nice theater, it is in fact open air in a nice green area I hope you enjoy the concert!!” “On a Tuesday night, trolley-bus nr. 11 will be your only option .The trolley stops at OMONIA and SYNTAGMA and many other central locations so you have many boarding options. Avoid taking a taxi cause it always gets stuck in traffic during the concerts (the theatre lies in a tremendously densely populated area with very narrow streets leading to it.) and you will pay a fortune.” quote: Originally posted by WarrenP: Hi all,
I missed Loreena the last time she toured Europe, and I've been kicking myself for it. I have a trip to Athens planned specifically for her concert. I see today that the venue has changed. I can't find much online about the Vrahon Theatre. Does anyone know if they have a website? Is it easy to access via public transport? What is the neighborhood like?
Thanks,
Warren

That could be cool. At this point, I don't know which hotel I will be staying at. Any recommendations? Do you have tickets for the show yet? | | | | Posts: 7 | Location: Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom | Registered: April 30, 2009 |

Yes, I am flying in to Athens on the Monday before the concert. Since I've always wanted to see Athens (and greater Greece), this give me an additional reason to go. I know little about modern-day Athens and am also looking for recommendations for hotels. | | | | Posts: 7 | Location: Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom | Registered: April 30, 2009 |
