| In one sense I am glad to hear that sound problems were the reason behind your worry and not something deeper, as infuriating as technical difficulties may be. Best of luck for the rest of your concerts - I know you and your musicians will perform with the utmost quality you are known for and we as the audience appreciate everything you have done, this note being no exception. | | | |

| Loreena thanks for your explanation but I'm sure it wasn't necessary at all. There are many concerts and each one is in a different place with different sound problems. If at the end of your world tour you hadn't any problem, you would wear the Superman's suit Moreover the musians and all your staff are awesome. Thanks a lot for your patience with the fans who were waiting for you, we don't aware of your hard work before and afther the concert and the kilometres you cross. It's a very hard work for all of you, and you act as if it wasn't. Mark you are very patience too. I talked to you in Murcia and Barcelona and you always answered me in a very polite way. (I can't speak english as I write it). Thanks all of you and take care! the tour has just starting and with this changing weather it's very easy to cath a cold. | Dearest Loreena, I didn't have the pleasure to go to your concert in Paris, I attended the one in Barcelona (which was more than perfect) but I am sure that in spite of the sound problems you did a great perfomance, I know it because I've been following your lovely work for some years and you and your band are a very serious artists and professionals. I have been reading some reviews in this forum about the concert in Paris, all them are very positive. So go on and don't give up, we all love you very much...if you are sad just read some posts in this forum of your devoted fans. All the best, MANEL | | | | Posts: 248 | Location: La Granada (prov. | Dear dear Loreena, musicians and crew,
First I must say it is a little bit diffcult to express my feelings in english but I'll try to make it clear !
I felt uncomfortable when I heard you cry ; I was worried I thought you had bad news between the two sets from a relative, someone you love, your familly... I wish I could do something to comfort you and cheer you up !
I can say for most of us it is one night to recall ! It is a wonderful rememberance for me. It is because of your emotions we love you, you're so close to us- public. Like I've said in another post, perfection isn't among this world- that makes me appreciate very much your work and efforts.
I was in Grand Rex, I tell you, magic was in the air that evening. I was thrilled and your music and voice gave me shivers at some points.
I understand your feelings. Alas, I should say part of people are unrespectful and selfih. So bad it wasted part of your evening ... and offended your sensitivity.
Don't forget : we love you and for most of us it was a fine show. Your explanations make me twice appraciate your "encores" and I more realize your deep emotion and even distresse, and also how much it took to you to summon up one's strenght to comeback on stage.
Thank you so much to care about us the way you do ; we care about you too !
Regarding to share some more time, music and emotions with you
Huge hugs to you all and special thoughts for you Loreena.

| Hi all, hi karen and hi Loreena, I was in Paris (on the second row), and it was an excellent concert,You and all of the musicians were perfect.Sound problems???Okay but no explanation. When you went in Paris the last time (Virgin, February 8) it was the same problem, one of pedals piano failed, it's not your fault Loreena but The source of difficulties was entirely related to the team of sound engineer, each time. You are a GREAT lady!Loreena. I go to the concert in Roubaix, i was filled with wonder by you and her musicians. You go to France twice, it's not enough. I'll go with the staff of ULDLO (french website, i was at Virgin with my bodhran) and i hope meet you. It demandes a lot of courage for an artist to write this message and even admit there was something wrong. Though I'm convinced that most of the people in the audience enjoyed the concert. As I said before I thought drums and electric guitar were too loud and because of that you sometimes couldn't hear the other instruments. I thought hesitation in the singing was due to the emotions. So I'm sure most people didn't even notice. I think musicians who are experts in technique and sound problably were more annoyed. For the 'vultures' that were after Loreena: Shame on you, you are so disrespectful! If one should be embarrassed here, it's you! Loreena even tried to make excuses for them and tried to explain why she left so quickly. If any excuses are due here, it's from the vultures themselves! Those who fits the shoe... As for asking your money back; it would be easy to do so, but if we are honest most of us enjoyed the concert. If musicians give the best of themselves, which they did, one couldn't ask for anything more. Something can always go wrong... To Loreena and all of the musicians: don't be so hard on yourselves. No need to be embarrassed though as perfectionist you are looking for perfection. There's no such thing as perfection. Technical problems a.o. can happen. Just for this message: you deserve RESPECT, you are a GREAT lady! I enjoyed the concert and will have good memories of it. Looking forward to the coming concerts!!! I rest my case. | | | | Posts: 27 | Location: beneath the valley of the moon | Registered: November 21, 2006 |

| You're right Leliadoura !! Most of the accounts I've read are enthusiastic too, and problems like this can happen (I went to see Hevia perform live last summer and his bagpipe sounded way too loud... but I truly enjoyed the concert all the same). As for Loreena, she really knows how to deal with her fans, and this note is here to demonstrate it. I understand what she means by "there was a part of me that wanted to retreat to my hotel room". Working hard and then getting a result inferior to your expectations can be disappointing, and positive emotions can suddenly become negative. I bet her performance in Milan will be just wonderful, because it can only be like that . | | | | Posts: 236 | Location: Italy | Registered: October 31, 2006 |

| I haven't been to the Paris concert, but I do appreciate the care and time Loreena has taken to write this explanation. I guess she is very perfectionist - I passed by the Barcelona venue several times before the concert and they were soundchecking there for HOURS - and must have felt very concerned about any minimal flaw, but these things are bound to happen now and then. Maybe the people who attended the concert can ease her distress much better than I can, but most reviews I've read about it were meant to highlight how wonderful it was. The fact that some instruments might have sounded a bit too loud, as someone said in this message board, is a common phenomenon in many concerts: I am a Celtic music freak since as far as I can remember and in many concerts I felt like hiding beneath a bench every time I saw the bagpiper get ready to play - and I don't mean I think this was the case for any instrument in Loreena's concert -, but this has never ruined the show or lessened its overall quality. I guess that from Loreena's and the rest of the musicians' point of view, who strive for perfection like any professional, this is much more of a problem than for a devoted audience who is only too happy to have the chance to enjoy these wonderful musicians' live performances and Loreena's heavenly voice.
