Well, what can one say about the most incredible evening ever?? I could go on about the order of the pieces being perfect for the pace of the show, about Loreena's amazing voice (which, to me, is better live than on recordings -- of course, I think all live performances beat "memorex!"), and the incredible talent of all the musicians onstage. Or the way the hall reverberated with the music, and the huge standing ovations at the end. The whole concert was breathtaking, moving, brilliant. But I think what impressed me just as much was the rapport of the musicians with each other, the true regard with which they obviously hold each other, how much fun they were all having and, especially, how willing Loreena was to "share stage" with the other musicians. THose who have been to lots of her concerts will know this already, but not only did she turn and face each soloist, but the lights also would dim on her and come up on the musician. All of the musicians, including Loreena, were so unselfish in sharing their gifts that it added to the already brilliant music of Loreena. With so much positive energy and goodwill on the stage, and such deep emotion expressed in the music, it was one of the best concert experiences of my life!
I would have liked to have hung around after the show to see if Loreena was visiting fans last night, but my work schedule doesn't allow tremendously late nights. But, hey, Pittsburgh is only two hours away, and if I can save the money, maybe I'll buy a ticket and go again!

Hi Barb...Glad to hear it. I've pushed the R&R stuff overboard since discovering Loreena because there just ain't no comparison. I've seen her 3 times this year under the theory: you can put a record on the CD player thing, or you can experience the real thing. Is this a hard choice? I'd go to Pittsburg if I were you. There's still time. In fact, if Loreena added Night Ride to the set list, you'd see ME in Pittsburg. By the way, as soon as you can, go down to Playhouse Square on Euclid, go into Otto Mosers and tell the owner Steve D. that Dennis in Monterey CA sez hi. You might get a free beer out of it. Tribe in 5...

Well, I'm kicking myself in the rear! If I had known it was that simple to get a chance to actually meet Loreena, I'd have hung around -- I know where the back loading docks are ... rats! Oh, well, hopefully, she won't wait too too long before returning to the Cleveland area!

My wife and I were at the Lakewood show and noticed a group of people gathering under a sign that read "After Tour". Is this the group you were a part of? How does someone get to join that group?
I also saw that "After Tour" thing but no, that wasn't us. I believe Loreena was to meet some industry type people right after the show. We went around the building to the back where the tour buses were. We got to see the members of the band loading up, and met Loreena there. there was a lot of security guards and about 20-30 fans there. They told us Loreena would indeed meet with us and sign autographs. So we waited about 15 minutes and then she came out and did the meet and greet thing. We were pretty much ushered along by the security guards, so we couldn't hang out much more after that. I had to leave anyhow, as I came with other people and that was my ride home.

Gee, no. Unfortunately, I was just bought a ticket -- I was sitting by myself in section 3, row r, seat 101 -- GREAT seat for seeing things, though I wished I"d gotten a sense of urgency earlier and bought a ticket when I could still get one closer.
I didn't know anybody -- I just went by myself, because I vowed I wasn't going to miss the opportunity to see Loreena live!

Hey, dlaws! There are a lot of folks in NE Ohio who prefer Loreena's music to the ol' beer music of our younger days. Heck, there are even a lot of younger folks who prefer it. Not that I'm OLD mind you ;-) ... it was good to see the lower level filled and the upper lever about 2/3 full. I hope we showed enough enthusiasm that Loreena will consider coming back on her next tour!

OK, djwayne, next time, I need to find YOU so you can show me where the stage door entrance is ... I kinda remember from years ago when I used to hang out at the Civic more, but there's been too much time since those days. Congrats on being able to meet Loreena!

It WAS a quieter audience, but I think it was an audience of many long-time Loreena fans because -- at least for everyone around me -- folks were really into it. Perhaps, also, the fact that it was a Sunday evening (e.g., end of the weekend) had something to do with the slightly quieter crowd. It was a slightly "more mature" crowd, too, and that may have had something to do with it, too. But it sure was the best concert I've ever attended, and the thrill of a lifetime (until Loreena comes BACK to Cleveland ).

Hey Barb, I was in attendance at Lakewood too, and I just posted this on another thread, but I'm glad to hear a veteran Loreena attendee praise the audience feedback (specifically the standing O's) ... I was worried that this crowd sat on its hands too much. Obviously I'd like the band to feel that this concert was a hit, even if it wasn't a sellout, so they'll make return trips!
